as far as reviews go, well, one night is too short to play with so many models...so it would/should take some time. If I ever get around to it;)
Anyway, they look schweeet and shiny, the 'force pro" on the sides is mindboggeling to look at...they look like metallic inward musclepower bumps.. if that makes any sense :p
also, I've got more w7i...but I think you've seen more than enough fo that thing ;). Though, ont he bright side, I've got some real hammers in, sotx labels some as 94grams :o

My god, do people actually enjoy looking at these horrendous paint jobs? I think I'll just stick with my black and silver Woven-7.

But I DO like the look of the CP 7K and Woven 11i... :D
The new buttcaps sound pretty good too, the sticker on my Woven fell off and I never even bothered to stick it back.

I'd take a picture, but I'm not taking the plastic of any of them yet, you'd barely see it on a photo.
Basically it is the sotx-O in red, printed shiny on the black butcapp...
the cp7k is weird to look at...I've had it in my hands for 15minutes and still couldn't decide which colours it has...it's blue and silver, but that red is just almost bronze, but orange when it glares...It's bizar:o

silver,
yes, I know, there're a lot of new types we didn't order (CP 1/3k the D100/200/700/800 but also the w2i, 10i, 4L and 5L) the problem is we're still a beginning shop, slowly building up resources, so choices must be made for our stocking...

errr.....no (:p:D:o)
Our shop is an internetshop, and will remain so. Simply because a badminton-shop wouldn't survive in Holland (with huge monthly rates, and not that big a market)...Imagine one with a relatively 'unknown' brand...
So, in a way, our shop has indeed openend...Because it is a closet;)
A pretty darn big closet though:D
thank you for the encouragements though! It's nice to see sotx gaining popularity on a forum like this.
Next-stop: the world! ;)

big handles, handles, or anything that indicates a length, or size.
I suspected Dink would've dropped an email by now...since he likes shiny stuff so much:p:D

Well, it's finally been play-day....and my I had a blast :D
since I'm notoriously bad a giving ratings, numbers or direct comparison, I'll just tell y'all a story about each arcket ;)
The Woven 7i
my woven 7i (G3, all my sotx's are G3 in this review) was 93grams and a bp of 300mm, it's stiff/extra stiff and 675mm long.
I found the 7i very stable and solid, power was good too, playing it, you feel it's a woven (the distinct 'woven' feel: solid, robust and stable).
It's a racket with a nice compromise between power and defence, too bad the colour is not for everybody :p
W11i
My 11i was 92grams, 300mm headheavy, 680mm and extra stiff. It's just as stiff as the w7i but slightly longer.
I've played witht he woven 11 last year, for about 4 months...and the w11i is nothing less spectacular... Hitting with it (smashes mostly, doublesgame...) this thing is just designed for one thing: power, all-out power. But ebing so uncompromising, it's defence is doubtfull compared to my other arckets for today.
I'd recommend the w11i for singlesplayers, or very attacking doublesplayers. For a more allroundsolution: pick the w7i, or the:
CP-5000
My CP5k, that pretty silver thing, is 88grams, 300mm headheavy, 675mm long and stiff/extra stiff.
And I love it; the CP series feel more related to the diamond-fighters than the wovens (in terms of feel) with a supreme feel, with little stability to lose.
The racket feel aerodynamic, and pwoerfull. Coming from a D500 user, the cp5k sacrifices little defence, and gains a lot of power. It feels a lot like the w7i just swinging it, but in playtime the shuttle just comes of the racket different ( like I said, more of the DF-feel).
Recommend for allrounded attacking players
CP6000
One of the most common questions I get through email is "which woven looks most like the at700"?
Now I just have the greatest difficulty answering that question, because sotx doesn't make rackets that headheavy (just longer) and always stiffer...
But now they do, the cp6000 is 680mm long, 300mm headheavy, 90grams beast, with medium/stiff flexibility.
I'd say it breaks a tie with the w11i for most powerfull racket, I guess the flexibility aids a lot in power, but is slightly more comfortable with other strokes.
I great attackingracket for people who aren't so fond of extra-stiff stuff.
CP7000
And finally, sotx's new top-of-the-line model for 2007, it's 90grams, 675mmlong, headheavyish, and medium-flexibly.
I'll just start of with the first comment it strikes me: this racket is comfy. It's easy to adjust, feels nice and is just a great allrounder.
Liked a lot by some other players, but 9,0-9,3 is just too flexy for my taste.
while greatly allrounded, the racket lacks a solid umph (although another player said it's great...and my cp5k is a board...)
In sotx terms of stiffness I'm smack between 8,0-8,5 and 8,5-9,0 (can't choose which suits me most)
therefore my list would be:
defence:--------------:offence:
D500/cp7k-cp5k-w7i-cp6k/w11i
The slashes indicate a tie, the dashes the 'next in line'
In the end, I think I'll switch to the cp5k, just because the weight and balance fit me well (not the best of both worlds, but close)

How come you get all the good stuff? :( My Woven 7is were only ~89.5 grams. I'm sure the extra few grams would have made my Woven 7i into a Titan, not just a Beast. :p
Thanks for the reviews! I'm wondering if I should buy any of the new SOTX rackets...

I know, it's weird. I asked sotx for G3's and they replied they 'had to be made'.
But with heavier handles, you guess they'd all be headligher...I'm mistified:o

jerby, thanks for the reviews and pics. The bronze color of the CP7000 is sure purty! Too bad it's that expensive.
Besides the nano material, what other tech upgrades does the CP series have over the DFs?

Hi pedro,
new for all CP racket's is something sotx calls "force pro". The frame bulges and slims on the sides in order to dissapate large shocks and transfer them in multiple minor shock.
http://img252.imageshack.us/img252/9607/dsc00577tt4.jpg
It looks quite stylish...though commenting on how it works is hard because I haven't played with any CP's that don't have it ;)
The control on the racket is fine though, rest assured, they're not 'dead' :p

That's very similar to my RSL X2 Pro (bottom image):

yeah, i saw it just 3 mins ago on your thread...weird huh?
Must be drawn from the tenniscene..no way two different companys came up with the same idea in the same year all by themselves...
well, what can I say? whatever, It looks nice ;) :p
Though it looks like RSL does it throughout the frame, sotx only between 3 and 4 o clock (the "sides" with single-pass grommets).
They do something similar with sotx superlight on the bottom, I'll take a pic.
