i try to search the sch in astro, there is no live on astro, its only MPV cup.
but, i think it should be have live cos this is a really big tourament... anyone know abt this?

ASTRO doesnt have the broadcast right for this WC.. Coz it will be held in MAS.. One of the reason is the MAS government who supports/ sponsor this WC only gives the broadcast right to RTM.. Local TV Channel !! Wat a shame !

i tried watching rtm online once. but it is very jumpy. but that might be because i only use a modem and not high speed connection. you can try and see. no harm in trying. :D

MVP cup is a competition held in the philippines with an asian team versus an europe team, normally held over 3 days with a mixture of events played every day.

i think nowadays, it may be more interesting to have the MVP as the CHN team vs 'the rest of the world' team, even then i won't be surprised if CHN wins it.

Glad to hear that. I recall Astro advertised it during the Sudirman Cup period that WC coverage will start from Day 1, I guess RTM involvement somehow complicated the matters.

Astro Malaysia sometimes different with Astro Indonesia hiks...hiks.... Based on my experience on Sudirman Cup. Astro Malaysia coveraged, but in INdonesia Sudirman CUp coveraged by Vision 1 (Indovision). It is competitor of Astro. Vision 1 has been advertised that they will live coverage final of WC 2007. Means Astro won't coverage :{ I am using Astro, because they live coverage every SS unless Indonesia Open. I am sure Astro won't live coverage is Astro Super Sport channel 70.

For those who have astro with the sport package,please remember to watch form 13-19 through astro special channel for WC,channel 85.This is the schedule i get form the newspaper.
Monday to Wednesdy(13-15/8),there are three broadcasting time.9.00a.m.,2.00p.m. and 6.00pm
Thursday(16/8),12.00p.m. and 6.00p.m.
Friday(17/8),3.00p.m. and replay at 7.00p.m.
Saturday(18/8)semis,start from 2.00p.m.
Sunday(19/8)final, start from 2.00p.m.

RTM1 has a regular futsal program at 2-3pm on Sundays. I remember a few months they refused to pre-empt the program and would rather delay 'live' telecast of two badminton events' final matches to 3pm, even if the 2pm match involved MAS players.

Is there anyone who is able to re-cast the Astro live directly onto the internet? If then, badminton fans out of the Astro's coverage could have chance to see the top class badminton games from the beginning. To my best knowledge this is a possible idea with your home computers and some necessary capture board. Maybe Astro would not allow anyone to do this within its coverage. But if it's for the people out of their coverage, they don't need to protect it.

So astro ch 85 has seven days of badminton....So every match on courts 2 and 4 can be recorded on tv.......Can the malaysians do that....Iam currently in europe....And if we can send someone to court 1 and 3 we have all the matches during wc07.....That would be a superb collection of bwc 2007 kuala lumpur...great collectors item...maybe for our sons and grandchildren...haha.

go to tournamentsoftware and look for the world championships, under matches, it'll have which matches are scheduled for which day, and on the left hand side, it'll have the times the matches are scheduled for...you'll have a better sense at who's playing during which times and adjust accordingly, hope that helps!

True, would be nice to give more details. However, not much difference on day 1 and 2 glancing thru the match up, kind of one-sided. In that sense, Super Series is more exciting from day 1 and now I agree with Taufik, WC should be a once every 2-year event to maintain its prestige!

Rachel.. 1st of all.. U needs to have Sports Package subscribed.
If you do have, but still can't see CH 85 on ASTRO. U needs to use the remote control , press "MENU" then select Options 1. Installation Setup.
from there. Choose Options 4 for Auto Update then Press "OK".
It will updates any newly added channel, including CH 85 for ur decoder.
Hopes it will helps..

Both have a bye on round 1 and Day 1 & 2 is for round 1 so you won't see them in action until Wednesday, I think.
