so you are one of the professional players.....cool
theres 15 only i just found out lol!
Am surprised to learn of that many since there are hardly any MS from the UK participating in SS tournaments in Asia. The most notable is Andrew Smith from England, whose form is like a yo-yo currently. I thought I read recently that you now have a young talent (still in his late teens) who is being groomed and blooded to take over.
Maybe you also include some men singles from Scotland, Wales and Ireland. I can't even think of a popular name from these places. But in mens doubles there are more, including the 'notorious' Nathan Robertson, since he's almost always creating a scene somehow. ;)
How are they being paid and by whom? What are their obligations? How often do they train and do they have proper coaches and facilities? Or are most of them semi-pros, like yourself?

the teen you are thinking of is probably rajiv ouseph
there aren't that many famous players from scotland, wales or ireland. the only ones that i think of are richard vaughan (wales) and scott evans (ireland).
scotland have some very promising teens however, noticeably stuart gilliland and then kieran merrillees and scott mcphail and some others. gilliland is 20 and played thomas cup in 2006, and he's been national champion through every age group from under 13 to under 19. i think kieran was european under 19 no. 1 for a while, and he went to the youth olympics for great britain
i'm 16 and ranked about 60 in england =]

if you are asking me, i look on the badminton england website to find the ranking

hafiz's "heng tai" hahaha :D
hafiz's "heng tai" hahaha :D
Translation for those who do not understand Cantonese (one of the more popular Chinese dialects widely spoken particularly in Hong Kong), "heng tai" is "brother", perhaps in this case something like "Andrew is like Hafiz' younger brother" since Hafiz too is having a roller-coaster badminton ride. :D
