Hi all

Well I have introduced myself. As well as being a coach I am a Regional Representative for Kason in the UK. I have a lot to learn and was after some help with regards to racquet flexibility. The shaft ridgity in the uk is usually printed ie stiff, flexible etc. I am in the process of sorting this out for my role however I have information in mm's.

How does this wirk? is it higher the number the stiffer the racquet? ie: 8.5-9mm?

I look forward to some help

Best Wishes all

The numbers usually indicate how much the racquet bends when a certain amount of pressure is applied to the string bed. The lower the numbers the stiffer the racquet is suppose to be.

Yup the smaller the number, the stiffer it is.

Can't remember where I seen it, but it was a defined test, I think it was something like a 20lbs load put at the end of the racket, and the deflection was measured.

In general 8-8.5mm = extra stiff
8.5-9.0mm = stiff
etc
