View Full Version : Dr. Pro Rackets? Sealman 07-26-2007, 10:30 PM Have anyone tried Dr. Pro rackets before? According to the website, they are made in Taiwan. http://www.drpro.com.tw/html/product.htm Linus 07-27-2007, 12:00 AM For those who can't read Chinese. According to the web, they claim to be the OEM (it does not say for which brands) since 1987, and from 2004 they decided to come out with their own brand of rackets, with the focus on local (Taiwan) market. bluejeff 07-27-2007, 12:19 AM Dr.Pro is a relatively new brand in Taiwan comparing to others. Since its debut in 04, they have attracted a bunch of young users immediately due to their lower prices and above-average quality. Nowadays, some local badminton clubs and schools uses Dr.Pro rackets, and they have a small share in TW's badminton market. aZn_Popcorn 07-27-2007, 12:49 PM A friend of mine uses Dr.Pro rackets. I have tried the Dr.Pro grip and found it very good and very affordable at $1 a piece DarthHowie 07-27-2007, 02:11 PM A few of our members at the George Brown College Badminton Club carry Dr. Pro rackets because one of the former college players is now working as a rep in Taiwan. I haven't seen or heard anything negative with their rackets and they are fairly easy to string with since all the rackets have their shared grommets flared off. Dreamzz 07-27-2007, 02:18 PM never heard of them, but from the website, they seem to be quite expensive. bluejeff 07-28-2007, 03:00 AM No, that's just the MSRP, same thing with Yonex ones as well. People never pay things at the sticker price. In fact, Dr.Pro offers a very huge discounts through their points of sales. Sealman 05-11-2008, 10:03 PM Recently I bought this Dr. Pro racket from a coach in Taiwan: http://www.drpro.kr/product_933.html I wonder what does the manufacturer mean by "armorphous"? Interestingly the above racket and the model below are marketed together as the "Daniel" and "Hello Kitty" models from the Hello Kitty series :) http://www.drpro.kr/product_922.html ps FYI the actual cost of the Dr. Pro rackets would be 50% off the retail prices on the Taiwan website http://www.drpro.com.tw/html/product.htm wakloo69 05-11-2008, 10:10 PM Why they put DR as the name?
