DinkAlot 08-02-2007, 08:22 PM RSL 4900 in all aspects . . . not even close! Concur wholeheartedly. The 4900 is one of the best all-around rackets you can buy and one of my top three for bang-for-the-buck at $125 retail, $100 street price. Lefty23 08-03-2007, 04:32 PM The new 7490 is supposedly an incarnation of the 4900. Does it play the same? DinkAlot 08-03-2007, 07:18 PM The new 7490 is supposedly an incarnation of the 4900. Does it play the same? Nope, unless I tested the wrong racket. The 7490 is much more endloaded. Lefty23 08-03-2007, 09:30 PM I think I will stop thinking and just get one. :) DinkAlot 08-04-2007, 12:58 AM I think I will stop thinking and just get one. :) I prefer the 4900; tried, true and proven. RSLdude 08-04-2007, 01:18 AM I prefer the 4900; tried, true and proven. Hi DinkAlot! I have been using the 4900 before but I find it difficult for smashing and doing dropshots from the baseline. Now I bought a 7490 and it solved a lot of my problems. One thing I really like about the 4900 is that it's a great defensive racket. Can you share more of your experiences on the 4900? :) lee728 08-04-2007, 03:10 AM how much the 7490?? RSLdude 08-04-2007, 10:37 AM how much the 7490?? Hi! It is around P3850 at Toby's and badminton hub.:) DinkAlot 08-04-2007, 04:35 PM Hi DinkAlot! One thing I really like about the 4900 is that it's a great defensive racket. Can you share more of your experiences on the 4900? :) Again, it's a great all-around racket. Difficult for smashing, I can see but dropshots? That's not the racket, that's probably your swing. But then again, everyone swings different and the 7490 is (obviously) more suited to your swing. lee728 08-04-2007, 08:52 PM THE Energy Ti 5190 is this a gud racket??? But then again, everyone swings different and the 7490 is (obviously) more suited to your swing. Thanks DinkAlot! I guess you are right that it's in my swing. I sometimes use my old 4900 and I'm still amaze of its defensive attributes since I can swing it faster than my new 7490.;) RSLdude 08-05-2007, 12:01 AM THE Energy Ti 5190 is this a gud racket??? I do not recommend the Millennium 5 series since they are not durable. Try the new Millennium 7 instead. :) lee728 08-05-2007, 06:54 AM i think millennium 7 is expensive lee728 08-05-2007, 06:57 AM what string is gud for rsl 4900 cuz thats my racket DinkAlot 08-05-2007, 07:09 AM what string is gud for rsl 4900 cuz thats my racket For a thin string: BG66 For a medium string: BG80 For a thick string: MP or BG65, BG-70 lee728 08-05-2007, 07:10 AM rsl ti 630 isnt it gud or not??? string RSLdude 08-05-2007, 11:00 AM rsl ti 630 isnt it gud or not??? string i'm using the new RSL Lt70 strings on my old 4900 at 26 lbs.:) lee728 08-06-2007, 04:44 AM is it good??? is it good for smash and control and how much??
