Be ruthless he tells his players. CAI-FU use their power to overcome their oppositions, and the only way to win for the Malaysian pairs is to be ruthless and attack the Chinese pair all the way.

I like to see that !:D

ooohhhh, interesting match will ensue if attacking style of play is in use. i like fast pace high tension matches and KKK/TBH and CY/FHF can deliver that if based on all england. :D

That's exactly what I have been proposing all the time! The last pair that can dominate Cai/Fu using much defence is Candra/Sigit in 05. All current pairs, if they want to win, they must set up their mind to attack attack and attack from the very start. Use flat drives to move Cai/Fu around.

For KKK/TBH, it seems to me they still do not have good stamina yet. After AE, They always slow down and relax a bit in their 2nd game after a ruthless 1st game. In contrast, Cai/Fu can be fast and furious throughout the whole match.

It's hard. LYB is exceptionally strong. He can bench press 130kg. :D

Agree with that. They 'fizzled' out in the 2nd sets mostly -- TBH smashes got weaker in the 2nd set, making them vunerable to CAI-FU attacking game. When TBH did not make the big smashes, it affected KKK who then seemed to perform lackadaisically too.

It's kind of weird. Until AE they seem OK and can play fast and furious till the end of the 2nd game. Then starting from Swiss open, they always slowed down in the 2nd set. Maybe they were not motivated anymore. On the other hand, Cai/Fu fight all the time, even if there seemed to be no hope -- when they were totally dominated by CTF/LWW in Singapore open.

Obviously CAI-FU are better motivated to succeed after a few losses to KKK-TBH. They needed to wrestle their image back. KKK-TBH with all the 'knocks' from everyone on their attending too many meetings lost focus. When you are scrutinised by everyone and got knocked a bit by your coach, it will affect morale. The 'tentativeness' in their plays after that reflected the spirit they were in.

Now it is different, they feel good. I heard they are smashing well again and eating 'chili padis' too. This is a awesomely fearful !:D

The Chinese might have borrowed 'tongkat ali' from the Indonesians so 'chili padi' will have no impact.

Who knows, in fair exchange the Indonesians might have been practising 'chi gong' on the quiet to add to their armoury, certainly with the sole intention of beating the Chinese.

The WC will be a titantic struggle, with wave after wave of attacking play, particularly the powerful smashes. It will be a sight to behold! Malaysian Wave, Indonesian Wave and Chinese Fan Dance!

Don't miss the real thing. Be at the WC in KL. Hope to see you there!

i believe what ants was referring to is the incident when LYB was heard telling his player to break LCW's legs during a match. hehehehe. so it is not a call to break LYB's legs but to borrow his ruthless tactics. :) plus breaking LYB's legs is irrelevant since he does not need his legs to coach the players...:D

"Break a leg" is a well-known saying in theatre (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theatre) which means "good luck (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luck)". It is typically said to actors (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Actor) before they go out onto stage to perform.

So if we will not say that to LYB for sure.
