Wong Mew Choo, which seeded 10,is the malaysian's hope to be first ws come to world championship quarter-final in history of malaysia.......

But in round of 16,mew choo,i think in the malaysia ws history, mew choo is the highest seed in Malaysia ws will face xie xing fang............Her opponent is xie xing fang..............two times world championship champion woh......

will mew choo make miracle..........win over xie xing fang..............and be the first malaysia ws to reach world championship quarter-final?????????

Will Yao Jie help him in this half month....................

The withdraw of mew choo in phillipine open is give benefit to her,or just nothing?

as a malaysian, of course i want WMC to win, but i doubt that she can pull it off against one of the badminton queens from china...

I think WMC can do it... nothing impossible...

it'll be tough, home ground advantage might help a bit, and XXF has not been looking invincible recently, but i still think her chances of upsetting the CHN ace are slim.

i think xxf, zhang ning, wang chen, or pi hong yan can win this one ... but wmc can make a surprises 2 beat one of them ...

My answer is NO. Wong Mew Choo is the best player from Mal but she is still far from being a threat to Korea, China, or Indonesia. On her best days, maybe she can make it to quarter finals.

Where China is concerned, I agree. But not with respect to Korea and Indonesia.

Not sure whether WMC will be at her best, she hasn't rediscovered her fitness in CM.

i think WMC can win the match but she would have to go all out and use all the resources that she has. however, if she wins the match, she would be too spent to mount up a challenge to proceed in the tournament. but, i will support her nonetheless. :)

WMC has beaten Lu Lan and some of the top X-CHN european players recently. On a good streak and a good draw, I reckon she is good for SF most tournaments. She hasn't crack ZN or XXF yet to my knowledge but at home I think a 30% chance of an upset with XXF. To follow that with an upset over Zhu Lin would be a tall order I agree. If she played as well as in MAS SS, well...

im not sure abt this cos she havent fully recovered from her injury yet.. however, i still hope that she would be able to create some dissapointments on her top seeded opponents ;)

We don't know what form Mew Choo is in, I think she's not 100% and since she hasn't participated on the last few tournaments, I have to say she most probably a little rusty. Upset against XXF is unlikely though possible. Regardless, we know Mew Cho always fight hard against any opponent.

Miss wong is a lone Miss David versus an army of Goliaths...when ZN retired after 2008, the current bunch of WS are going to get better and another wave is coming up...give credo to Choo Choo, being the lone Rambo representing MAS and occasionally sprung a surprise or two, knocking some of the world best...at home court, she can surprise us too...:D:)

knocking out one guard dog maybe do-able if the stars line up but knocking out 2 guard dogs is quite astronomically slim:D

Wacha's chance of winning WC > Mew Choo's chance of beating XXF...

What am I saying? Wacha is going to win WC...LOL.:D

If my memory seves me correctly, WMC's best outing so far is her runner position in last year's Malaysian Open. That should give her the motivation to go one better. But that is going to be very, very difficult given the fact that she has not seen any action in recent tournaments and also she may still be carrying some injuries.......but I have a fantasy ..... that is to see her and LCW win their respective titles..... would not that be a fairytale ending.... One thing for sure is that WMC will always give 1000% effort and I'm already happy as a Malaysian supporter.....:D:D:D

WMC always has the capability to beat any 2nd rank CHN womens or some top European players. It was just too unfortunate for her to pit against XXF in her draw here

WMC's best chance was in 2005 WC, but she was just recovering from injury then, and lost to CSC. CSC went on to the final.

Ants, there is hardly any news of WMC in the Malaysian papers lately. Is she still carrying old injuries?

CSC went to SF and was knocked around by XXF who went on to win WC05. XXF made CSC run all over the court...LOL!:D

Ah, my bad. Thanks for the correction, OneToughBirdie.

I've seen CSC running all over the court, I could swear she was enjoying it .....

I really like CSC the way she plays, jump shots and all...with her big wig and big shorts and short legs, she looks more like a skate boarder than baddy...I was in Anaheim watching WC05 and XXF makes her run all over the court...XXF with her long legs and long reach, it is like 2 steps and XXF can cover the court. No match at all.

Win or lose, I rate WMC highly because she is a fighter. She is a champion in my books.

Agree about CSC. But in IO07, CSC had her revenge. She made XXF bend all over the court. It was XXF's second consecutive tournament so she ran out of gas. No match at all.

Ya. How's WMC ? I heard she still injured and not training well. Any confirmation ?
