...and if you say "yes", how was it cracked?

It doesn't really look cracked to me, more like the magic question is, "how did you frame it so that you chipped off only one of the layers of paint?"

That's not the magic question, that's easy to answer: smash mishit...the shuttle cork did that much damage!

Oh DinkAlot I was wondering how many NS9KX you have :P and why you switched to it as your go-to racquet from the Armortec 900 Technique?

Yes it is Cracked.....
I would think it is due to:
1. Accidentally dropping the racquet on floor
2. Racquets and racquets mis-hitting
3. Mis-hitting the floor when rescueing the birdie
4. Bad Stringing job or strung at very high tension

I dont think it is cracked..more like it just the paint is removed due to a light clash..

I think it's not a crack. The paint chip was probably made when you mishit. I'm still leaning on the yes crack and no crack. But heck I'll say it's not a crack. It might look like a crack-you see the white looking line that looks like a crack-I think it may be just left over paint that wasn't chipped off.

Yes is a crack, the racket fly out your hand and scrape the floor
or kids went into your bag take out a shiny light saber and start fencing.
It was cracked due to Panda power! Looks like 2 hairline cracks from looking at the frame.
The missing paint with the blue remaining, looks like Panda used a razor blade and cut the other paint layers off!

I would say it's a crack at the paint layer, rather than the actual frame, caused by the same shuttle smash mishit

No, it's definitely a crack. It took me a while to realize that it's not just a paint crack. It's between the 3rd and 4th grommet down to about a fourth of a way after the 4th grommet. The crack doesn't quite follow the paint design lines, so it's not leftover paint.
And I have no idea how you got a crack in the 4-5 o' clock position. I can only think of a smash rim-shot or a clash w/ the floor while saving the bird, but a clash would make a greater crack. I don't have enough racket cracking experience to guess this one, haha.

Nope, some of the paint chipped off after I mishit the shuttle there. It was glazed so I used my finger nail to remove the glaze. The paint came off quite easily.

I don't think it was damaged by a mishit - I think it was damaged after the mishit by Dink's enraged glare:D.

likely to be frame shot, most likely he was too eager to "kill" the bird.

agreed... but the crack doesn't really seem to be too obvious...
normally, when i have cracks like that, my racket already gives up...:p

The hairline crack went down the length of the side of the racket, not pictured.
It wasn't pretty...
...I smashed, mishit, because I looked directly into the lights, heard a "CRRRRACK!!!" Checked the racket and the hairline crack became a very visible crack. Continued to play with the racket and about 4 points later, light to moderately clashed rackets with my partner and the racket folded up into 3-pieces.
I cut the string and the end result is what you see above. :p

Wow, RIP racket. you said that the hairline crack became a very visible one, so it was cracked before the mishit that made it an even bigger crack?

Yonex's amazing shock absorbing technology: fill the frame with a sponge.

Dink, was that NS9000-X a 3U? or 2U?

Dink, was that NS9000-X a 3U? or 2U?
US Code, 3UG4, . I clashed with a 4UG4 AT900T that only received a chip. I slowed my swing down a lot as I realized I was going to clash with my partner's racket. I highly doubt the X would have broken it if were not for the initial crack(s).
I feel the 9000 is quite durable overall. :)
