Please give me some suggestions:)
What you want to do or see in HK?

We should start a list of possible BC members who might show up.

Hi friends from BC,

I'll be in HK during that week, and I hope to be able to join you all if there is a gathering during Hong Kong Open week.

Looking forward to meeting you. Please keep me posted on the latest events planned.

BTW, I don't plan on bringing my badminton equpiment with me and it has been over a year since I've touched my badminton racquets. If you're booking badminton courts, I'll likely join as a spectator.

One more thing. How easy it is to buy tickets for the Hong Kong Open? If I arrive Hong Kong on Nov 25th, think it is still possible to buy the tickets? Or should I ask friends/family to help me buy the tickets in advance?

Sorry, I meant that in previous years, the tickets are almost totally sold out for the s/final and finals day. :eek:That obviously does not include this years torunament which has yet to start selling. :p

Really? where is it for earlier round and final? For the qualifying rounds to get into the main draw, they have been held at a different venue in the past. It was in the Sports Institute in Sha Tin. However, that venue is now under redevelopment for the Olympic equestrian event. I don't know if there will be a qualifying round this year or where it would be played

I think Sha Tin can be used for Olympic qualification.....in this case..I hope HKG will use Elizabeth Stadium as a only one venue....it can be confusing as sha Tin and Wan Chai are not even close....:(:( anyway..I will make sure that I will buy early rounds as usually it is more exciting due to the nature of the draw...

I've seen qualifying rounds in All England and China Open before. Typically, they are played on just one or two days before the main tournament starts. Yes, you can go and see the qualifiers - I don't think many people do though.

A quick question. It has been so long since I've touched my badminton racquet. I understand that there are some very good players here, and I probably won't be able to keep up with you. Any objections if I just join in as a spectator and meet more bf members off the badminton court as opposed to playing with you? I'll very likely bring my badminton shoes with me during my trip to HK, but I don't think I'll bring my racquets.

i can see whether i can get the two courts at my clubhouse. there's only two courts there though. i believe the major problem is knowing how many people will be actually playing. we don't really want people only having just the one game.

it'll be best to wait until closer to the day to book the courts so the actual numbers can be confirmed. if it's easier to book at the Disciplined Services Sports & Recreation Club then i guess that would be best. how much in advance can one book it?
