don't know whether to put this under training or general

Today when i went out to run (to train my poor stamina), i reached an area that was lined with a never-ending stretch of incense offerings. Soon i remembered that today is the first day of the 7th month of the lunar calendar, thus many people are burning incense.

i decided to continue, and there were incense offerings like every 40m distance interval, the air in fact felt saturated with the smoke. Before i knew it, i was back home after over 20 mins of intense incense inhalation.

This time, my chest felt tighter than usual. I also believe i had swallowed some extra air in an attempt to prevent inhaling smoke, by sort of holding my breath( my stomach felt bloated as a result).

So do you guys think i just spoiled my lungs for nothing? Bad time to run:(hope nothing happens to me

Holding your breath while doing aerobic activitiy is a valid training method - it is known as hypo-oxic/hypercapnic training, because of the decreased oxygen and increased carbon dioxide levels.

Look it up, it is a fascinating topic.
