I've just received 3 brand new carbonex 23 racquets (JP version 2UG4) from japan (Shuttlehouse). It's been a few years since I last had my carbonex 23 racquet and it hasn't been the same.

I have tried AT's, MP and NS but it was never the same as the trusty old carbonex. I have also tried Carb 20MS and Carb 21 but i still prefer the 23.

Is there anyone out there that is a carbonex 23 fan?
Which carbonex do you think is the best?

Carbonex 23 used to be my main racquet and it was way before its time to go... I got it stolen from a tournament I entered and I had to move on. It was the nicer looking orange with CF style paint too! I bought a 2ug4 just recently (red version) and I ended up selling it off as it wasn't stiff enough for me anymore. Which color do you have?

I've only known cab 23 to be red. Which version was the orange one?

Which racquet do you use now Optiblue?

The orange was the orignal Cab23! I now mainly use the MP100 and the carlton powerblade superlites.

I tried cab20ms, cab20 and cab23 before, and they were all 2U. Personally, 2U rackets seem to be too heavy for me. The power was nice, but my arm got tired out fairly easily. To me, cab30ms is the best, with its overall performance. :p

Very nice purchase! I used to own and use a red Cab23 (2U-G4) as my main racket. It is an excellent Cab and one of the best rackets I have ever used. I would describe it as stiff with even balance and very durable (However, I never had mine strung higher than 23lbs). It is not quite as stiff as say the Cab22 but it is stiffer than than the Cab20MS. Similar stiffness to the Cab21 but the Cab21 is definitely head-light in comparison. I found the balance of the Cab23 to be quite optimal for both offense and defense. Incredible sound with BG80 and a very nice looking racket as well. My only gripe was that it was not a "long" racket. I sold mine a while back and I kind of regret it now :(. Enjoy!

Why don't you buy another Carb 23 one AMRaider? By the way, what are you using now?

Would rather save my money in case I find some Cab22.

Right now, I'm using the MP-100 and the Cab20-L. Stiff, even balance, aerodynamic, excellent rackets... but they lack the cool blue of the Cab22 ;).

I was thinking of getting a Cab 23. Does anyone know how the Cab 23 stiffness compares to Cab 20 tour special?

er... don't bother. It's so hard to findCAB22s these days.

Maybe Yonex will bring it back like they did with the Cab21... I can always hope, can't I? :D

I am! Like you, I just came off a period of trying out ISO rackets, but have finally given up on them, and gone back to my trusty Cab23. My brother and I share 3 rackets, and may soon look to acquire more.

I personally think it's the best Carbonex I've used.

After not playing for two weeks of badminton, and finally getting my carb 23 restrung, I finally got a chance to test it out. It just feels like old times, the feel has definitely come back and the punch you get when you smash. Awesome!
