I've been having problems keeping my hands dry during games. The hot summer weather and some of the gyms I play in are really hot means I'm getting wet palms and losing grip.
I use Yonex Grap or Gamma Supreme, but they get wet pretty quickly so I have to rotate through 3 or 4 rackets in a session.
I haven't tried grip powder, does it work well? I also don't really want to have to use it constantly between games.
Does anyone else have any suggestions?
Thanks for your help

i also sweat a lot. the grip powder is a way to go. wearing wristband will further prevent sweat from arm reaching to palm's area.

Hey David,
Ur not the only one.. I've had wet palms since I was a child. Yonex Supergrap works well initially, but as the grip gets worn out.. the racquet starts slipping. Try the Wilson X-tra Tack.. I am using it now. It is very tacky.
The good thing about this grip is, it gets tackier if your palm gets wet (not dripping wet). I just feel the grip is better when my palms are slightly wet than dry. Give it a try. I love this grip :) Also wear a wrist band as drifit suggested ! Thanks to Dinker Dan's Overgrip review chart.

I suggest no handshake after game... just give each other a "high 5" and nobody will ever be either 1. disgusted with other people's wet palms, or 2. embarrassed because of your own wet palm...:p

WOW I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM!!!! I sweat crazy from light rallies. I used to use yonex supergrap but that didnt do much, so right now i'm using a towel grip! You have to change them a bit more often but they're the way to go!They soak up all the sweat which means you never lose traction! they're only about 5$, but they the best!

cool nice timing. few months ago i got a random idea, why not try baby powder? yea you heard me right :P
i remembered sometimes when ppl get their hair cut, they use baby powder so the hair just slides off the skin. in other words, the baby powder helps to keep your skin, or in this case, hands, dryer. it only lasts for so long though, so you gotta put some more on every break. but yes, it does work. i've been using it ever since, and it is quite effective.
and if you wear dark clothing, dont touch any of it :P

Thanks for all the suggestions - I've been wondering if baby powder was the same as grip powder, they sort of look alike.
I'll try the Wilson grip as well.
Cheers

Yonex has a new grip called, Wet Fit Grip. I tried it during my trip to Japan last week. I don't think they have it over here yet, but it's pretty good. It's not as sticky as Yonex Wet Super Grip/Grap, but it doesn't get soaked like the Super Grip/Grap does. I guess you can say that it's initial stickiness to the time you finish is the same. Here's the link to it.
