I just thought I'd tell everyone how happy I am with my new racket. I bought an AT500 2 years ago - liked it at first, but then fell out of love with it. I tried a few other rackets including some of the NS range, and have come back to the AT500.

So at last I have my main and back-up racket the same. My new one has BG80 strings, and what a difference they make - I like them a lot - great sound and sharp feeling. So I thought I would share my happiness with you, that I have finally found the best overall racket for me. I've also realised that the racket itself doesn't improve my game anywhere near as much as fitness and footwork... but it does make me feel happier!! :D

Good to see you come with the racket of your choice. Hope you continue to enjoy it. :)

If you have the blue one, it's a lot more beautiful than the newer white one. Especially with blue strings and blue grip :P. That being said, congrats on finding your perfect racquet.

hehe athelete1234, it seems we're both super armortec fans, however i must disagree with your taste. The At500's old color is superior to the new one, but your choice of string color is....not good, i feel that black strings with black grip emphasizes the racket's nice blue color. PS i have an old AT500 with black strings and black grip =)

I now have one of each colour. The new one has white strings with black ink which look good. But for looks, I'd rather have the NS7000, or even better the Tracey Hallam Exclusive Super Power in a very pretty pink. If only I had lots more money........

I reserve the black strings for my AT700 :D:D. I still have some blue overgrip, so I use it on the AT700 anyways. Looks great anyways. I got the blue strings to contrast with my friend's MP99, which had orange strings. But it looked great, so I kept them...until my at500 broke....

im probably ganna get an at500 in a few weeks time. will the racket be more durable if it's 3U than 4U? how's a armortec compared to carbonex or isometric rackets?

3U's are generally regarding as being more durable than 4U's, i guess this may be because of the higher density of the racquet which makes it heavier?
