Ok umm I have two questions and the first one mayyyy be a little wierd....
1.) If I go to this will I be the only white person there??? I love badminton but will people look down on me because im not asian? I know this is realy racist but I dont mean it in a bad way... I just dont wanna go and feel like im not taken seriously.:o
2.) If I take part in the super 7 circuit and im 15 now, but I turn 16 halfway through the season... will I have 2 play U19 or can I continue playing U16 untill the end of the season?

1) Probably not...there are a number of non-Asian players but you never know. I don't "race" would matter. Maybe being underestimated is a good thing ;)
2) I believe that your age is calculated based on a date not when the tournament was being held. I could be way off-base here.

1) junior and adult badminton players in the tournament. Glad you are joining us for the first time. This is [one of ] the largest Junior B tournament in the Super 7 Circuit. Last year , we have over 350 players took part.
2) As per entry form....players .......qualify by age as of December 31, 2007. (e.g. birth date Dec. 10, 1995, player has to play U14 not U12). Basically, if you were born in 1992 or 1993, you are U16, unless your birthday is on Dec 31.
Hope I have answered your questions and see you at the tournament!!

So I was born on January 13th, 1992... after I turn 16 can I still play U16 for the rest of the year?
badelbow
09-10-2007, 05:39 PM
qualify by age as of December 31, 2007
- this means on December 31, 2007 if you are under the age of 16, then you can play U16. This will be your last year to play in U16.

hi, i was wondering for the U19, which feather birdies would be used during the tournament?
Yonex is the sponsor of the tournament - which Yonex feather birds to use depends on Yonex's supply. Can't really tell you which one. Should be same or similar to last year's

Are those official?
A note that ..........SSDC(B)A the (B) is omit on the draw in the past...... I have no idea why the B decide to pop-up, people might think it's 2 different club, it's not, it's SSDCA.
U14 GS Alison Lim should be from SSDCA
U14 BS Andy Au should be from SSDCA, his 1st opponent is Alex Lim, his U14 MD partner =.= I found this interesting.... parents might complain.
Is the draw made out of the card again? not tournamentsoftware?
U19 GD C2 VS C2, SSDCA VS SSDCA. ?
what is the draw guildline here?
U19 MX line 30 Christine Tuomi & Jae Song are both from SSDCA, Not SBC.
um...... I must sleep now, I know there're more hicups. but I haven't sleep for a day just for school & work. I need to rest now.......good nite.........

YOUR SONS/DAUGHTER; YOURSELVES; YOUR STAR PALYERS FILL IN THE CORRECT CLUB INFORMATION.
TOURNAMENT ORGANIZERS CANNOT READ MINDS OR PICTURE YOUR NAMES IN THEIR MINDS AND FIGURE OUT WHICH CLUB YOU BELONG.
THE SAME PROBLEM HAD LED TO A CANCELLATION OF AN JUNIOR "A" TOURNAMENT A COUPLE YEARS AGO..
Are those official? - WE POST THE DRAW EARLY TO MAKE SURE WE HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO AMAND INCORRECT INFOMATIONS.
A note that ..........SSDC(B)A the (B) is omit on the draw in the past...... I have no idea why the B decide to pop-up, people might think it's 2 different club, it's not, it's SSDCA. :crying::crying:I HAVE 3 ENTRIES FROM SSDCBA - AND 8 FROM SSDCA - GLAD IS NOT BADMINTON SOFEWARE BECASUE WE CAN CHANGE IT HUMAINLY:D:D!!
U14 GS Alison Lim should be from SSDCA
U14 BS Andy Au should be from SSDCA, GOOD EXAMPLE HERE, BOTH Alison & Andy did not fill in their club info and I have the forms to proof it...once again, GLAD ITS NOT BADMINTON SOFEWARE -!! - SHOULD BE CAN BE COULD BE OR MAY BE.....SSDCA OR SSDCBA..:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::c rying::crying::crying::crying::crying:..
his 1st opponent is Alex Lim, his U14 MD partner =.= I found this interesting ! I found this trouble making..AND ITS FRUSTRATIONS FOR REFEREE AND TOURNAMENT ORGAINZER..... parents might complain. In this case, PARENTS had NO GROUND to complain AT ALL.
Is the draw made out of the card again? not tournamentsoftware? OF COURSE, ISTS TOURNAMENT BY HAND AND BY HUMAN MISTAKES....
U19 GD C2 VS C2, SSDCA VS SSDCA. ? WILL DEFINITELY CHECK THOSE OUT. JUST A FRIENDLY REMINDER...IF A PALYER FILL IN MULTI (2) CLUBS INFO WILL BE CONSIDER NO CLUBS. SAME FOR DOUBLE AND MIXED A PAIR WITH
VRC/VLT OR SSDCA/SBC WILL NOT BE CONSIDER
A VRC OR VLT OR SSDCA OR SBC TEAM.
what is the draw guildline here? - SAME AS PREVIOUS TOURNAMENTS.
U19 MX line 30 Christine Tuomi & Jae Song are both from SSDCA, Not SBC has BEEN REVISED TO SSDCA.
um...... I must sleep now, I know there're more hicups. but I haven't sleep for a day just for school & work. I need to rest now.......good nite.........

I am glad I took 30 mins peeking the draw before I go to sleepless badminton. There should be a few mistake which is not related to SSDCA, I saw it but I forgot where.
And as of your replies, I completely agree with you. I would do exactly the same if I were in your shoe. Kids' head are blind when they're to fill out forms. And parents have no ground to complain(thou they might). It's sad if partners are to fight each other the 1st round. but too bad, not my bad.
Thank you for quick response.

10-03-2007, 09:10 AM
For B rankings, you can play in your age group unless you won 2 times in the same catagory before (ie last season). So if you had won 2 doubles last season excluding provincial, you have to play up one age group in doubles only. You can still play singles and mixed in your age group.
For A rankings, a ineligible players' list is on BBC website.
