Have any of you guys tried the new ti sp, which version was it and how do you rate it. How does it compare to the prev ti sp version or is there not much diff at all.
Anyway thanks in advance.

i mean the new one, with the red paint job???
anybody??
Shaz,
They are exactly the same, just with the new paint job. I was advised by a badminton rep that they did that because of a China badminotn team(I forgot) which has orange clothing. He also indicated that the new paint job is a limited edition and indicates that the Ti SPs will be phasing out soon. The new Ti SP will most likely have MP on it which he saids could be released in Summer in Japan.

really, so they are jus a fragile as the old ti sp??
Yes, they are the same, just with a new paint job. I'm not sure if they are that fragile as you mentinon it since they are stronger than the 900 series. Can you clarify what you were referring to about being fragile?
You may want to wait for the Ti SP MP series which will be stronger which I mentinoed in my original post.

Well i had a ti-sp sx and i broke it, broke at abt 2 o clock pos and jus from hittin the shuttle cleanely and the break was very clean aswell so dunno if it was a defect, but one of my friends has gone through loads of these rackets.
ie. my interest in this new version as to whether they have made it stronger

Shaz,
It does sound like a defect thou. I know it maybe a bit on the fragile side if you actually had a collision with the racket. Can you also mention what string tention it was at as well?
The Ti's SP are stronger than the 900 SP in terms of performance and durability.
I had a Ti SP SA and it was definatley better than the 900 SA that I owned. Both of them are stringed at 22.75 lbs using Gosen Roots B505.

I think it was strung at about 22-23lbs at that time, i now use 25-26 but im sure the ti-sp wasnt that high.
No collisions either, had the racket for about a fortnight and yonex replaced it but i managed to get a ti-10 from em instead with a small extra charge

If you only knew the abuse my mp-55 has been through. And it's still in one peice! Kinda scratched up though :) but even the abuse it took through my clashes (4 times but not too hard) mishits and attempts to pick up birdie it plays great still! no cracks or anything. Looks new from afar.. but when you look at it closely.. it'll looks crappy:) Not too obvious though.

i have demoed a mp55 b4, it feel and look like a well made racket. Of course its playability is subjectively different for everyone.

*takes a bow* And I was thinking about getting a ti sp too! But then after hearing how fragile it is.. i don't think my wallet can afford replacements! Maybe a Ti-10 3u version or somethin...................
I guess you have to wait for the new Ti SP MP series then! =)
I think it can handle only up to a max of 25. I have to ask the badminton rep guy at the store I go to and ask him again to make sure. I bet if that was a CP/CN racket version, it can handle that kind of tention.

i got the ti-10 (the heavier one) think its 2u umm....or could it be 3u....it the heavier one of the 2 weights....but that is v reliable and i havent had it have the sudden breakage even as high tension stinging.
hope this helps and i will wait for the new mp tisp :D
