As my racket has just broken, i now wanna buy a new Yonex Ti thingy, which is said to be the 'best'. Since, there are so many of them like Ti7,8,10 etc, even i have read a lot in the 'equipment' reviews, i still can't decide which one to buy. Can anyone help me? (the price doesn't matter)

I'd say go for the Ti 10 or Ti 7. The Ti 7 is kind of hard to find (at least where I live) so if you can get your hands on one, buy it! Also the Ti 10 is a great racquet for the offensive player.

Yonex produces rackets for specific game styles! so if u can let us know what kind of game u play then...

I would still suggest u that u can play as well with a non Yonex or a Titanium thing but then it is ur choice!

Well you could try the Yonex Ti SP series but it's better if you can give details on how you play and what kind of characteristics you want the racket to have to suit your needs.

alot of people prefer the ti 10 2u

why? offensive... heavy= strong racquet
massive power.... extreme stiffness in shaft...
flashy paintjob... many of the top baddy players use this :)

Basically i am a all-rounder, so...
i have been thinking about Ti10, but i have always heard that its head is really heavy and it is not good for net play. How else is it good other than absolute power? What is the difference between Mp100 and Ti10? Is Ti8 good? coz people often only talk about Ti7 or Ti10.

i can say they are all good rackets, i especially like ti8, ti10 to me is too head heavy and as for mp100 it is more balanced though a bit heavy too,

If price doesn't matter, then I suggest you to buy one for each of them : Ti-10 2U, Ti-10 3U, Ti SP SX, Ti SP SS, Ti SP SR, Ti SP SA. These are the best Yonex Ti racquets in my opinion, you should definitely find one which fits your play style ! :)

I'm not sure being a wrist/arm player makes much difference to the choice of racquet. It's how early you prepare for your swing that's important.

Like Ricky says, if price is not important, go for all those he suggested to find your preference.

buying all the rackets from the Ti series of coz would be the best ...
but practically ...i think most of you would know that is quite impossible.
Also, other than the Tis, i also wanna tryout some other series, so i dun wanna spend too much money experimenting the worse ones.

You know, I had a similar thought as you do before I bought my 1st Ti racquet, which is Ti-8. After I played it for sometime, I then bought a Ti-10, because I was told, it is more powerful racquet. Initially I found it very good, but after a while, I found that it may be a bit too heavy for me ... Eventually, I had bought 3 different version of Ti-10, Ti-8, Ti SP SX, Ti SP SS, Ti SP SA, ...

Right now, my preferred racquet is ISO900 SR and Ti SP SS (I've sticked with them for several months, and use them in every tournament). It is very difficult to find a racquet which fits you well without playing it for sometime (playing a new racquet for just 10-15 minutes cannot give you real impression about the racquet, because you are more familiar with the racquet you normally play with).

In other words, you must have something to start with, but you are unlikely to be satisfied with this racquet if you know there are more choices out there - there is simply no perfect racquet, one can be excellent in manuverability and defense, but it may fall short a bit on smashes (then you will find about whether there exist a racquet with the same level of manuverability and at the same time, can give more powerful smashes).

On the other hand, I found that it is better to stick with 1 to 2 racquets, and focus more on improving my skills and tactics. So, I had decided not to keep looking for something "better" (perhaps because I've already own almost all Yonex high-end racquets), but to settle with what I've.

As I said, Ti-10 and Ti SP series are the best Yonex Ti racquets in my opinion. If you still have no idea which one to be started with, I suggest you to choose something in the middle, e.g. Ti SP SS or Ti-10 3U. You may find it too heavy or not powerful enough, then you will know more about your play style and how to choose a racquet which fits you well.
