Trial section 2/3 league: 14/9

I would like to organize a league for section 2/3 eventually. Hence organizing this trial league

date: 14/9
time: 7:30 friday
place: CCC
format: to be discussed
entry condition: everybody! members + casuals

after talking to everybody verbally, following are people who have said yes so far

Before i accept your entrace, i will have to find an extra player so both team would have even number of players. Still, that should not be a problem as there are many players who have not heard of the league game as yet.

This 14/9 is a "trial league" at the moment so no league game will happen this upcoming friday. I aim to start league game on friday eventually.

As the section2/3 league finish up on friday, here's my thoughts

- jack, where were you? Of all the nights you have to miss, you have to chose this friday to miss. As i wait and wait until 8pm, i had to make a decision. thiru, you could have come in if you were there on friday. Then again, if only Jack could let us know he was not coming either by phone/message board before friday afternoon (as people who know me well, i check the board many times a day). Well, I am glad that Peter G could come in for filling in

- only 4 pairs of people mean we have to play against each other after the 1st round. And since the games were decide best of 3, that would be quite boring and 2nd round of games were voted against.

- To KC from wednesday, regarding to your partcipation of the league, i would accept section 1 player (you are section 1, mate!) to join in if they could find at least 1 more section 1 player to play with the other team.

finally, a big thank you to andrew H for helping to organise.

conclusion:
to be honest, this league thing would not start again unless it gather enough steam from our CCC player. I would need either
a) more than 8 players to come in OR
b) different combination of players forming different pairs, bearing in mind we could only have 1 court for 8 players.

more thoughts are welcome.

KC, no league game this friday. by the way, could you ask people this coming wednesday whether they like to be in the league or not? If so, ask them to speak to me personally this wednesday after my coaching.

i am trying to organise another one for the friday after once i have enough people. cheers.
