View Full Version : Thank you Team Vietnam
Just want to express my thanks to Vietnam National Team for dropping by Smash City and sparred with fan last Saturday, we had experiences of our life time!
Can Smash City kindly post some of the pictures taken(not the one I lost to Tien Mihn :D) during their visit. I hope to see them next year!
Thank you once again to Veitnam National Team and have a safe trip home.

did you kick Tien's ass? ;) ... what was the score??
Wah, Han has been promoted.
How things have changed. Vietnam War now transformed to Smash City War with Malaysian Han as arbitrator and having a smashing time! ;)
BTW, Singapore is now cultivating a stronger relationship with Vietnam in many fields. :D

Tien Minh is really good with tremendous speed and he continuously played against everyone of us one after another without resting(21-point) and when we expressed our concern that he might be too tired playing so many matches and guess what? The translator told us Tien Minh was bored as he beat everyone so handily :D
The whole Vietnam National Team is very very friendly and will try to drop by again next year after the US Open. Thanks Luc and Smash City for making this happen, really experience of the life time.
Next, Han vs Lee Chong Wei :D (If Chong Wei dare to drop by :D ) Of course, I am also welcome Kendrick or Ronald ... Loh, please take note!

A very confident Han indeed! Issuing letters of 'war' to world ranked players. So glad that you enjoyed yourself. :)

I was thinking to put a small note in BF about the invitation of Vietnam National Team that week but not sure how Smash City would react(I may act like I own SC but I actually don't :D) so decided not to do anything, bad decision.
Anyway, Kwun, see you in Thanksgiving potluck, SC annual gathering this November? And your number is 1-900-cal-kwun?

I also played against Tien Minh. I think I may have gotten 7 points. May sound bad, but that was probably the best singles match I've played. Oh, and this is Gumaro. You wanna play some singles tomorrow, Han?

I wish SmashCity does a better job in its marketing and generating publicity for itself. I was there a few days before and didn't see any notice. Its website is ... well ..., I will just way way out of date.
Glad that Han had a great time. Wish I was there ... I mean ... to watch :)

Famous for losing and fist pumping on every point won, unfortunately :D

Yes, if the government allow the Vietnam national team to travel to US again next year then we will have the re-match at Smash City. I 've been adding training minutes since my lost and ready to revenge or get humiliated again by Tien Minh :D

Can't we all just get along regardless where I am from, Bintang or SC? :D

Just finished watching Tien Minh vs Santoso on your WC DVD's. Tien Minh was very good. No wonder he could beat Taufik. He could have beaten Santoso also. It's amazing that any amateurs like you guys can even gain any points from a top pro like him. Good job.
I'd like to express my thanks to Team Vietnam! It was truly a pleasure having them over at Smash City! We didn't really publicize Team Vietnam coming, as we did when World Champions Howard Bach and Halim Haryanto Ho came to Smash City. We wanted Team Vietnam all to ourselves :) It was fun playing and watching them in all those matches..
Unfortunately, I didn't have my big camera -- so no action shots. Here's a few pictures from my little camera...
See how many you recognize in the photos!!
