Topic title says it all - my classes have been canceled tomorrow due to potential weather: does this mean that the beginning of the Taipei Open may be delayed as well?

I think as of this posting nobody knows for sure, but this could be a blessing in disguise - this means I can go to Taipei and see the first day after all!

Did you get to watch the Qualifying rounds. Maybe you can post the results.:)

Man, first was political storm stopping Team China and now weather storm possibly stopping the whole event? I think the organizer need to have those Chinese ceremonial praying(roast pig in temple) in the future :D

The tournament is still going..worst will be rescheduling all matches...not gopod news for double players who play XD,MD or WD...so if this happens, they told me that friday or saturday can be 2nd round plus qtr or qtr and semifinal on saturday...lets hope that it wont happen....

I think the tournament will still go on. They will probably have some delay if the Typhoon is too severe.

Thought they should worship The Goddess of the Sea (Ma Zu) as the typhoon came from the sea. Ma Zu has recently visited New York and is probably a bit tired to stop the typhoon after She returned from the trip ...

Apologize for providing wrong info here. :o I was referring to International Badminton ORG website to define who is the players to qualify for the main Draw.. That pages was not yet updated with the latest Draw.:mad:
