Just a simple question. Where can i get a large models on Proace models in KL? Most of the shops i have been only sell the better known brands like yonex..etc..and eventhough they have Proace, only a limited variation of models.

I'm thinking of getting either proace Ti9 or Yonex MP 77, looking for speed & power in smashing for doubles. Is anybody has any idea about the performance of these two rackets? Or any other suitable racket to suit my need?

Hi Wayne,
I have a Proace Ti9 and I love this racquet for defensive play. Especially one of those 90 degree netshots. It's a rather light racquet giving you speed on the head, that is why I love it for quick net shots.
Depending on how high the string tension is, it's a rather good racquet for offensive play as well. I have mine on 23 pounds. It's great for defensive play but gets a rather bad vibration when you hit it off center.
It's a good all rounder but being an offensive I prefer my T10.

Hi Smilley,
Thanks for the reply. Btw, what string are you using for Proace Ti9 at 23 pounds?
I've mislead by somebody saying that Proace Ti9 is good for smashing. Seems like what i heard could be wrong.
best regards,
Wayne

Hi Wayne,
I have BG 66 on my Proace Ti9. I found BG 65 to be rather fragile on off center smashes thus breaking quite often.
You are true in saying that this racquet is not a powerhouse on smashes but like I said, it's a great racquet for net drive shots.
I do find there is power in it's smashes if you hold the racquet at the end of grip thus making the head a bit heavy.
In terms of raw smashing power. I'll still prefer my Yonex Ti10 grant that it's a bit head heavy.
