View Full Version : About Indra Setiawan
G-nob 09-19-2007, 01:46 AM I will appreciate if there's anyone who can tell me about the professional career of Mr. Indra Setiawan (from Sulawesi). I heard he used to play with Indonesia. Accordingly he used to be no. 3 in world ranking. Any info will be appreciated.
Sandy 09-19-2007, 11:12 PM do you mean "Hendra Setiawan" (Kido's partner) ?
Markis/Hendra currently world #3
But Hendra come from Pemalang, small city in Central Java not Sulawesi.
INA players who come from Sulawesi (mostly from Manado) are
Flandy Limpele
Lilyana Natsir
Greysia Polii
Nathalia Poluakan
in the past :
Lily Tampi
Deyana Lomban
Rosiana Tendean
G-nob 09-20-2007, 04:08 AM Sandy,
I think I'll have to ask him personally. Since, He was only introduced to me
as Indra Setiawan(not Hendra)The reason i asked this because He's handling the training of a small group of kids in our country. Since, He can hardly speak english. I would like to check he's credentials. Give me a few days and i'll get back to you. Anyway, thanks for your assistance.
wierdngifted 09-20-2007, 11:51 PM So how 's the training? Is he good?
G-nob 09-21-2007, 02:12 AM wierdngifted,
It was my daughter's first training with him and i only witnessed the training of my daughter. He handles the training on a one-on-one basis, or a maximum of theree students per session. Since we can only attend during weekend because of her school schedule. The training lasted for two hours. After the training He told my daughter to do a regular exercise to make her legs strong. And told her to "sleep right, eat right, and train with heart". I think my daughter got the message clearly.
Krisna 09-21-2007, 04:21 AM There was never an Indra Setiawan from INA that reached the world #3 ranking position in any category [MS, WS, MD, WD, XD]. Either you got the name incorrectly or the [world #3] ranking information is incorrect or somebody is lying there... :D
wierdngifted 09-21-2007, 10:15 AM Oh thats good..I hope your daughter will gain a lot from him...
huangkwokhau 09-21-2007, 10:19 AM I google his name....it comes out the name of suspect of the murderer of Indonesian Human right,...he is a Garuda's pilot....I know this must be different Indra Setiawan but there is no profile or info about him...honestly I never recall that INA has Indra Setiawan in top 3 ever....I am sure about that

Does anyone here know any more about Indra Setiawan? He has just started to coach the Philippine national training team.
