Chetong18,
I hope you found a place to play. There are quite a few choices in Orange County. You can try the GYM at the South Coast Chinese Cultural Center. Do a search in this forum for "SCCCA".
They are open Thurday, Friday, and Saturdays from 7pm to 10pm
walk-in fee is $7, annual fee is $400

oh....if I know this sooner I would invite you guys to my gym, Garden Grove High School. We opened M-F from 6-9:30. But, badmin season is over. We don't know when we can open the gym, sometime, M, W, or F
by the way, there is a new gym at NewHope and Mac Fadden. $10 for a month for 4 Fridays or $12 for week days....
Or, Santa Ana college, 1-5pm every Sunday (free), after that we can go to Bolsa, 5-8 pm (3 bucks)..

Sup, you guys should come to Santa Ana College on Sunday, courts are pretty decent, there are always 1 or 2 court open, we need more people to play with. Bolsa Grande place is ... bad IMO because of the way they are operating, bunch of kids (highschoolers) running around sign up on all the court when they are only allow to sign up one court only, sometime you gotta wait 30 mins while they jumping court, suck eh? so if you are shy, better find some place else.
SCCVA in Irvine is good, nice people there, you can find your match quickly, 7pm-10pm you usually can play good 5-6 games easily. If you decide to play often, annual membership is recommended, 7 bucks/night for me is still a bit much, but it's ok, I get to play alot ever since I go here, hours are Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 7-10, Sunday 3-6 (not sure) since I go to Santa Ana College on Sunday.
OCBC, too expensive, only for hardcore players.
I don't know about the other place on NewHope and McFadden, do you have the address? I'd like to check it out.

get up around 6:30am then go to Garden Grove Recreation Center, we play until 9 am. Saturday night at SCCCA is very good, not so crowded, you get to play alot, and i mean alottt. But it from 7pm-10pm. Other than that, I don't know, but Sunday, come to Santa Ana College 1pm-5pm.
