..will need his beauty sleep, tonight, before his long trek to the Orient tomorrow in the wee-hours of the morning (U.S. time)/later today (Asia's time)...so, he might not be available much to help with the scoreboard/latest results..
Poor Rudy! All for the sake of badminton and BC!
I hope he wins his PAWs this time.

Looks like we must wait until tomorrow to get result of qualification round because Rudy has not yet arrived in Macau. Better to give attention for Bitburger Open which 'so fast' to update the score!

..our Hau-ge finally arrives in Macau and sits in the stadium, i wouldn't be surprised if the updates for the Macau Open come in faster than that of the Bitburger Open..

They usually trained together in Bukit Jalil. I think this is good idea from Rexy because partner, Hoon Thien How/Chan Chong Ming and Tan Bin Shen/ Ong Soon Hock until now not succesfully. May be they can follow Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong achievements. Wait and See......;)

Yup, now we have 7 INA WS in the main draw... Cool for now... The question is: how many will remain to play in the 2nd round? Surely 1 because of the Fira vs. Firda clash... But I predict maximum 3.
Firda vs. Fira... I say Firda has a 55% chance... Firda has the sexier smile... ;)
Rosaria [Pipin] has a 60% chance of winning against Lamy. :D
Pia vs. Li Li 50%... both are able to beat each other... :)
Febe vs. Saina... 45% laaah... Saina seems strong. But this is my dream match... Indonesia's best Junior vs. India's best Junior. Preview of the 2012 Olympics!:cool::cool::cool::cool:
Sylvi vs. Jang... 50% chance either way...
Nana vs. Wang Lin... er... 20% chance of Nana winning... :o

Partial results are out (at 2pm local time):
MIXED DOUBLES
Devin Lahardi/Lita Nurlita beat Hendra Wijaya/Jiang Yanmei (4) 21-16, 21-18 -- a revenge for Devin/Lita after they lost in Taipei 2 weeks ago. They will now face the Asuncion siblings for a place in the QF. Meanwhile, the Asuncions beat Tan Wee Kiong/Woon Khe Wei 21-19, 21-19. A QF place will be a good enough result for the backup pair as they are expected to face Han Sang Hoon/Lee Hyo Jung in the QF.
As expected, Lingga Lie/Nitya Krishinda lost to the more experienced Fang Chieh-Min/Cheng Wen-Hsing 11-21, 20-22. Lingga Lie has a wretched time since he and Yulianti split up
Japanese pairs had a bad day after both of them lost today, including the third-seed Keita Masuda/Miyuki Maeda, who lost to the HKG pair Yohan Hadikusumo Wiratama/Chau Hoi Wah. The HKG pair will meet their team-mates Alroy Tanama Putra/Louisa Koon Wai Chee for a place in the QF.
Chinese-Taipei has 5 other pairs in the second round: Tsai Chia-Hsin/Cheng Shao-Chieh, Hsieh Yu-Hsin/Chien Yu-Chin, Cheng Hong-Ling/Chou Chia-Chi, Lin Yu-Lang/Hsieh Pei-Chen, Lee Tai-An/Lin Yen-Jui . So, TPE secures 2 places in the QF.
Malaysia is only left with the junior pair Mohd Razif Abdul Latif/Chong Sook Chin, but, they are almost surely going home tomorrow with a match against the top seed Xie Zhongbo/Zhang Yawen.
The other seeded pairs: Hendri Kurniawan Saputra/Li Yujia (2) and Han Sang Hoon/Lee Hyo Jung (8) as well as two other unseeded Korean pairs: Hwang Ji Man/Lee Kyung Won, Lee Jae Jin/Hwang Yu Mi all progressed to the next round.

..already arrive in Hong Kong by now..However, he'll probably need to go to his place of residence first to drop off his luggages and then travel by boat across to Macau (hopefully in a few hrs)...Maybe once he reaches the stadium he'll contaq badMania and then he can relay the scores to us all..;)

Tommy Sugiarto [INA] won over Chong Wei Feng [MAS]
Wong Choon Hann [MAS] defeated Alamsyah Yunus
Bao Chunlai is playing against Andreas Adityawarman [INA] right now...
Good for Tommy! He should beat the Vietnamese player Phuong N.D. tomorrow. From then onwards, it will be tough if he's to secure another QF placing in a Gold GP event.

I think that part will take about 4 to 5 hours.
It takes me 1.5 hrs from the airport to reach my home 2 days ago.
It will definitely take Hau-Ge a very long time to get to the Macau Ferry Terminal first (unless he goes to the one near the airport and not the one at Sheung Wan), then a 1 hr trip to Macau, another half-hr for immigration, and possibly another hr for him to get settled at a hotel and rush to the stadium.

Oh, I will be out of commision (away from BC) for the next few hours because I myself will practice badminton between 5:30-7:30pm Jakarta time (after work)... :D Even at 35, I need to sharpen my skills... So many things to learn in badminton...
By the way, I heard after loosing the 1st game, Alamsyah led 20-15 in the 2nd game against WCH, but lost that game and match... :o

Then he might decide to detour to the casino first! Guys, by then we'll be so disheartened (and exhausted) that we will call it a day and return tomorrow for the results and how we are doing on our PAWs! But don't blame it on Hau-ge who has been doing his best to keep us entertained. He needs to be entertained too! :( :D

So far, my predictions from yesterday are coming true... :p [unfortunately, some not to the benefit of INA...]
Firda (INA's #2) defeated Fira (INA's #5) 21-7, 21-17...
Saina (India's Top Junior) defeated Febe (Indonesia's Top Junior) 21-10, 21-11... Ouch, Febe got destroyed... :o
Pipin defeated Portugal's Lamy 19-21, 21-8, 21-17...
Li Li defeated Pia... (unknown score)
Sylvi and Nana have not played...

Hendra A. Gunawan/Joko Riyadi salvaged some pride after they beat Tan Bin Shen/Hoon Thien How in straight sets 21-10, 21-15. They have a super tough match against Lee Jae Jin/Hwang Ji Man tomorrow.
As mentioned by Krisna, Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan were stretched in the first set 27-25 (first match jitters perhaps?). They will face the Chinese-Taipei pair Chien Yu-Hsun/Lin Yu-Lang tomorrow.
Oh dear....Luluk Hadiyanto/Alvent Yulianto lost in the first round again to Khoo Chung Chiat/Abdul Latif Mohd Razif  The MAS junior pair will face a Thai pair Nuttaphon Narkthong/Patipat Chalardchalaem (what a name). Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan also gained a lesson after beaten easily by Choong Tan Fook/Lee Wan Wah in straight sets 12-21, 11-21. The veteran pair will face Tsai Chia-Hsin/Hu Chung-Hsien.
Both Djarum pairs: Rian Sukmawan/Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki and Fran Kurniawan/Rendra Wijaya lost to more experienced opponents in Guo Zhendong/Xie Zhongbo and Gan Teik Chai/Lin Woon Fui. The Chinese pair will face Jung Jae Sung/Lee Yong Dae, while the MAS pair will face Hendri Kurniawan Saputra/Hendra Wijaya. Hendri/Hendra beat the WC bronze-medallist Shuichi Sakamoto/Shintaro Ikeda.
The second-seed Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong did not break a sweat as they beat Keishi Kawaguchi/Naoki Kawamae easily 21-12, 21-6. They should also not face a problem against Hui Wai Ho/Alroy Tanama Putra tomorrow.
Finally, the top seed Fu Haifeng/Cai Yun should also stroll to the QF with a matchup against Fang Chieh-Min/Lee Sheng-Mu tomorrow.

..Jade Imperial got banned (Krisna must've thought abt another member)..Upon checking Jade Imperial's profile, we can still send him/her a PM~a sign that he's still a part of BC..Usually those that have been banned can no longer receive or send out PM(s)..;)
Good to know that Yeo Kay Bin beat Andre..

Yup, something to cheer about despite the loss. The match went into duece in 1st & 3rd game. Not sure who had the match point first. 26-24, I guess it could have turned either way.
Dear Robin,
I agreed that we need to look on a brighter side that we are not lacking of future talents in future years to come. I believe if we can groom Arif into one of the talented players that will shine in the tournament.Arif is a determine person who will continue to battle although he is facing well-known players.I believe that he will replace one of our national singles player soon.

In a few years time, Arif would be a great player. He's a very exciting young lad.Tremendous potential and great skills.
Dear Yojimbo,
I agreed with you that Arif will be one of the key players in our team. He is a determine person who wants to improve in his performance day by day. He needs our support to climb into greater heights. He needs to improve on his stamina. He has skills that will lead him into the elite player.

Yeah ! Thumps up for Khoo chung Kiat/Latif :)
This is indeed a pleasant surprise for the young pair but I don't think Rexy can claim credit!
Good to know that Yeo Kay Bin beat Andre..
Kay Bin has been doing well of late. Does he intend to displace both HH and WCH for a place in the Beijing O,ympics? Good for him if he is willing to train hard and prove his worth. :)

As I have predicted... INA WS has 3 left in the Round of 16! ;) Today:
Pipin vs. Saina; Saina has a 60% chance of winning...
Firda vs. Soratja; Firda has a 60% chance...
Silvy vs. Xie Xinfang; A healthy and lucid Xie Xinfang has a 95% chance... but if she somehow played like a drunken and disoriented Xie Xinfang [several times this year], then Silvy's chance will increase to a 50% chance of winning.... :p

i feel these tournaments IBF should try to make sure that people like us can get to see live scores some how, this is how they can promote badminton in a different way by even if possible by live streaming of match i think it will help a lot.

Poompat beat Jeff Tho 21-4, 21-10 in 25 min in Round 1. He will be up against the rejuvenated Yogendran of MAS and Poompat will not have it that easy as with Jeff! :D

Yes, but it's the same people who turn up expecting instant gratification, who act impulsively without first switching on their brain. They're the ones who should be reading the red ink on this thread. I had already expressed similar exasperation in the Taipei Open, but obviously to no avail.

fastest way for them to grow up is to ignore their blind requests. After a while, they either go hungry and learn to search or they quit. It's their choice, not yours to make. Some people survive on attention that's why they repeat their behaviour so if you want to help them break their behaviour pattern, don't respond to their stimulus.

Ok, my humble thought...
seriously, i think we shud allow ppl to make mistake, n give them time to grow...we r all adult, shud know 'DOs' n 'DONTs', leave it, n give them time to improve...:)
