So, there will be 3 INA representatives tomorrow...when I watch them live.

MEN'S SINGLES
Taufik Hidayat vs Park Sung Hwan -- this must be the easiest draw for Taufik to reach the 3rd consecutive Finals. He has beaten Park a few weeks ago and he should do it again tomorrow.

MEN'S DOUBLES
Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan vs Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong (MATCH OF THE DAY) -- this is it...finally, the match that we have been waiting for so long. Kido/Hendra doesn't seem to be in form this week, being stretched in ALL matches (esp today's nervy win over Gan/Lin). On the other hand, KKK/TBH look fit and they beat the WC silver-medallist easily tonight. It will be an evenly contested match, with KKK/TBH having the slight edge due to their head-to-head record. However, I will be cheering and shouting for Kido/Hendra! If they can play like the Chinese-Taipei Open Final, they have a good chance :cool: The key is not to let KKK/TBH gain the initiative early and for Hendra to control the net as soon as possible! Play lots of deceptive shots and do not give any chance for the MAS pair to kill the bird easily.

WOMEN'S SINGLES
Jun Jae Yun vs Adriyanti Firdasari -- Firda has exceeded all expectations with her Semi-Final appearance in a GP Gold event. I prefer to be realistic and any further win by her will be a bonus as usual.

The sf schedule looks like 7 matches for TV court, with both MS and MD matches shown.Can someone pls check with Astro whether they are going to telecast all 7 matches?That's like 7 hour badminton marathon. This GP Gold beats SS in TV coverage.

Oh, I see......Hehe....I suffered too...but the feeling after finishing PMR was great:D Btw, both MDs on tv is unlikely.....as they will only cover one court...As for WCH, hopefully we would see him in action tomorrow.

Astro SuperSport (Channel 811) doesn't state the matches to be covered. It starts at 12pm.

Yes, it is a bit surprise that Firdasari can reach the semifinal. But remember, she has not met a tough opponents yet along her road so far. She beated Maria Elfira Christina(INA) in the 1st round, Soratja Chansrisukot (THA) in the 2nd round, and Kanako Yonekura (JPN) (who beated Yip Pui Yin) in the quarter final.

Anyway, she is in the semifinal now, a good improvement of her playings. If she can beat Jae Youn Jun (KOR) tomorrow and reach the final, it will be her best performance this year.

Yup, boring. Would prefer Cai/Fu vs Koo/Tan final, the MAS pair will have regained their belief if they could start winning again against CHN top pair.

Choong/Lee vs Kido/Setiawan is not a bad matchup either, see whether the veteran MAS pair can learn from their mistakes at crucial pts in WC, or the World Champs could produce another "great escape". So far Kido/Setiawan Champs haven't lost to foreign pairs after winning the World title.

I would hope for a Fu/Cai vs Kido/Hendra.

Personally, I don't think Kido/Hendra can win the title here (fatigue), but, if they can prove that I am wrong, I think the Macau Open title will be much more treasured since they would have beaten KKK/TBH and Fu/Cai during the process.

I sat next to her during breakfast and chatted abit....especially yesterday's match against Konekura when she lead like 16-9 then 17-11 then becomes 17-14...she said that she wanted to hurry the match...so it is lack of focus which I reminded her with Susi .Susi just killed them and never allow the opponents to catch up...easier for me to say, right??hehe..just want her to win...thats all...at least this is I can do for INA's badminton..keep her positive attitude..:D

Indonesian girls playing style mostly similar to Susi, but they lack of Susi's mental strength and focus. A big girl like Firda should play more aggresively, instead of the "Susi style", since she doesnt lack the height and strength.

PETALING JAYA: Seasoned singles shuttler Wong Choong Hann pulled off a stunning win over China’s Bao Chunlai while Malaysia's doubles pairs also had a great run in the Macau Open yesterday.
Yesterday, Choong Hann received a big boost in his aspiration to win a place for next year’s Beijing Olympic Games when he stayed on top of his game to beat the second seeded Chunlai and world No. 4, 18-21, 21-16, 21-17 in the quarter-finals.
It was Choong Hann’s first win over Chunlai in five years. His previous win against the lanky Chunlai was at the 2002 Singapore Open.

Although thrilled with the win, the 30-year-old Choong Hann did not want to get overly excited.
“It is a big upset for me. I have not beaten him for a very long time and I am happy with the achievement today,” said Choong Hann in a telephone interview from Macau yesterday.
“But this is just a start for me. Hopefully, I can achieve more wins against top players on a regular basis. This certainly shows I am on the right track in my chase for a place for the Olympics.
On the semi-final match against Chen Jin, he said: “I still remember the defeat against him at this year’s Malaysian Open. I fought very hard but he did not give up. It will not be eas]y against him but I will give my best shot.”
The other men’s singles semi-finals will be between South Korean Park Sung-hwan and Olympic champion Taufik Hidayat of Indonesia, who defeated Malaysia's Mohd Roslin Hashim 21-18, 21-16 yesterday.
In the men’s doubles, Malaysia’s top two pairs - Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong and Choong Tan Fook-Lee Wan Wah - marched into the semi-finals in convincing fashion.

These 2 pairs still have big gap compare to Zheng Bo/Gao Ling, Widianto/Natsir, Limpele/Marissa, so many un-force errors. Didn't seem like they have clue at all what type of match they wanted to play.
