china players do flip the shuttle.
they also put their sweat into the shuttle to make it heavier.

so im not surprised if CJ really does that.

Men's Doubles Match

Most elated moment for me when I saw KKK/TBH won the match, despite knowing that irregardless of who wins, I'll be equally elated; reason being the exhibition of their mental toughness. One can easily give the game away at 17-20, after all, the opponents were your seniors !

But then again, because the opponents were your team mates, there's no pressure to win, even though this is a final. Thus I was glad that we were really treated to some fantastic badminton by both pairs, where under normal circumstances, I believe, against players representing other countries, some shots would not have been employed as risks are involved, especially during the last few points of a game, let alone a decider.

So, its good to see that the Malaysian boys can do well, if they put their heart and soul to it.

Men's Singles Match

Most heart wrenching moment for me would be to see Taufik ending up a runner - up again:crying: However, today he didn't play as well as some of the times that we have seen him. I suspect he must be tired after playing in 3 consecutive tournaments and entering all 3 finals ! Still I'm pleased to see Taufik's attitude today during the game.... cool and composed. And definitely fitter than some months ago. IF he's as determined as we believe him to be, we should see more of the man and his exploits.

Yes, CJ was not up to mark in his demonstration of sportsmanship. At one point when he had a lucky net shot, instead of apologizing to his opponent, he simply raised a fist and shouted to himself. OK, granted that one is not expected to say sorry for your good fortune, still that's normal practice right ? And he took far too long to go shake hands with his opponent after the match. Well, in my opinion, champions are made of better material, and should be an all rounder. You should be proud of your achievements, but lets not lose respect for your opponents.

Not only you miss the action, I as well. I call up the starhub and they said that they did not coverage badminton due to lack of sponser. As you know in Singapore, badminton is not the main sport compare to soccer. I really disappointed that I cannot witness the succeed of my heroes especially in the semis and final.

TH played too many competitions (Japan, Taipei & Macau). He reached in all three finals but lost .
He should have beaten CJ in Macau but he could'nt because his body was tired. LD was wise to withdraw so that he could be fresh and maybe have a chance in the French & Danish Super Series Opens. He has not won since the World Open.

Such a heartbreak, Taufik losing 3 finals in a row. Although it is possible that he is jaded with only 1 week break from 3 tournaments, I feel the reason for his loss today is much deeper than that.

From the start of the game, it seemed that the match official (umpire) was finding fault with him. Now I am not saying that there is some bias here, but the umpire wasn't handling the situation properly. And the decision NOT TO ALLOW the court to be wiped, c'mon ...... :mad:

Even the Indonesian coach was seen complaining to one of the deputy referees.

Anyway, congratulations to Chen Jin for a deserved victory, he made less errors in the 3rd game and in the end, that's all that mattered. Congratulations to Taufik too, for qualifying in 3 straight finals within one month, but he needs to intensify his stamina and endurance training.

Actualy CJ is known as quite sportif man and according to my source who close to CHN Team,,,he has been instructed to make the shuttle heavier..
I guess normally CJ did not do that.....

TH is really upset from the loss and some fans who were asking authographs had been advised to stay way for a while as TH clearly explained to one of Taiwanese coach why he was upset all about....by the way...Taiwanese, Malasian players were cheering Taufik to the extend to some Korean players.....

Clearly also TH was tired and CJ was a bit fresher...CJ knew that TH was good at the neet and smashing...to make shuttle heavier helped CJ's game...thats all I saw a few times.....
