However, this trend appears to be ceasing, as Xie has been extreme focussed in the past few matches, trouncing her opponents without mercy. Hence, I think this game will go to Xie Xingfang in 2 games.

Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong vs. Choong Tan Fook/Lee Wan Wah
This Malaysia vs Malaysia match will not decide much: Koo and Tan are already the new World Number 1s, and Malaysia will have a gold medal in Macau. Which is exactly why I am predicting that Koo and Tan will win this match. Koo and Tan work best without pressure, and unless some crazy this goes wrong with them, I expect them to prevail in 2 straightforward games.

I expect a solid match from both players. On paper, Taufik has an edge but Chen Jin can certainly rise on occasion

I too suffered from watching XD during SF, how can it be that much different in excitement when Zheng/Gao, Limpele/Marissa, Widianto/Natsir play against one another?

When comes into Playing against Chinese players in the Singles. Taufik is all out no mercy... depending on his mood. He knows that the Fans don't like China to win in the MS.

MEN'S SINGLES
Taufik Hidayat vs Chen Jin -- a match Taufik should win (after losing the last two finals). I am very impressed with his consistency over these last 3 tournaments, obviously being a father stabilized his mind. While I do respect Chen Jin, it seems that his game (net game especially) and thinking on court has not matured. Made heavy weather of himself against an injured and inspired WCH. All Taufik needs to do is to play his trademark net dribbles all day long to get this thing safely through.


MEN'S DOUBLES
Choong Tan Fook/Lee Wan Wah vs Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong -- the old guys to take this through. They were more sternly tested yesterday (still angry with Astro for cutting the live feed :mad::mad::mad:), and came out with flying colours. Besides, no pair has a better defence then CTF/LWW.

i dont get why everyone believes that the XD title is guaranteed to china. like everyone, says XZB/ZYW have not been performing up to expectations. Haha CHN has lost to TPE in XD before. (*gasp*) It was at one of the All Englands (2003/2004?) that Cheng Wen Hsing/Tsai Chia Hsin beat Zhang Jun/Gao Ling in the early rounds.

Ah yes, the 2004 edition ('cos Gao/Zhang won 2003 All England). The TPE lost the 1st game tamely, then won 2 deuce games in 2nd and 3rd games.

Still, as good as Cheng Wen Hsing is, I strongly doubt she and her partner will be competitive against XZ/ZY. Against the Koreans, the CHN pair were able to reel off a long sequence of points at critical moments. Still, I would welcome an upset if the TPE pair is capable of it.

And as such, let's help Taufik maintain CHN MS poor record for 3 consecutive tournaments ..... JO SS, TPE Open GP, and Macao Open GP.
