Quite heavy casualties from yesterday's matches, with all the MS players out

MEN'S DOUBLES R16
Rendra Wijaya/Fran Kurniawan vs Jacob Chemnitz/Mikkel Delbo Larsen -- Rendra/Fran were impressive in their victory over the 8th seed yesterday and they should take the match again today.

Andrew Bowman/Kristian Roebuck vs Rian Sukmawan/Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki -- it was a hard match for Rian/Yoke tomorrow and today's match is also tricky. But, I believe they should be able to win today.

WOMEN'S SINGLES R16
Ekaterina Ananina vs Adriyanti Firdasari -- the RUS player is dangerous and Firda needs to be at her best to beat her. The INA player has a slight edge.

WOMEN'S DOUBLES R16
Gabrielle White/Mariana Agathangelou vs Jo Novita/Greysia Polii -- should be a breeze for Jo/Greysia against the unknown ENG pair.

Shinta Mulia Sari/Vanessa Neo Yu Yan vs Meiliana Jauhari/Shendy Puspa Irawati -- Mel/Shendy should be more powerful than Yulianti/Richi and they need to rely on their attacks to beat the SIN pair.

MIXED DOUBLES R16
Kristoff Hopp/Birgit Overzier vs Tantowi Ahmad/Yulianti -- facing the 4th seed today, I think Tantowi/Yulianti should just enjoy their match and gather as much match experience against the experienced German pair. A win will be a bonus.

I am waiting for the CHN youngster matches tomorrow.
Can they win over their tough opponents?

WS Li Wenyan vs Yao Jie [1]
XD Zhang Yi/Cai Jiani vs Rasmus/Christina
MS Wu Yunyong vs Roslin Hashim [5]

Tough match for Li Wenyan to beat seeded #1 Yao Jie
as well as for Wu yunyong to play with the more experience Roslin.
I think Zhang/Cai have 50:50 chance.

Another interesting matches:
WS Li li [1] vs Saina Nehwal [6]
MS Sairul Amar Ayob [7] vs Lee Tsuen Seng [2]
MD Rian/yonatan [6] vs Kristof/Ingo [4]

Hard job for Saina to beat Li li, I think Li li will win over Saina.
Lee Tsuen Seng has the edge over Ayob,
I put 50:50 on Rian/yonatan

Mr X Ball, don't forget Roslin is seeded only 5th and the others ahead of him include the recent sensation "watchout" Wacha (1), Lee Tsuen Seng (2) and our very own Kendrick Lee (4).

But first, Roslin has to clear the QF against 'unknown' China qualifier, Wu Yunyong. This is going to be very interesting for Wu has just beaten Dicky Palyama (3) in straight games in R3.

Oh, that's interesting cause the last time I was there many, many moons ago it was also quite dry. So it has to do with the monsoons. But do you see ladies bathing and doing their washing by the riverside as some artists have captured on their canvas for immortality! :)

Mr X Ball, you saw the QF results, Roslin Hashim (5) failed even to overcome qualifier Wu Yunyong. Kendrick Lee (4), on the other hand, make a mockery of the seedings by beating all opposition, even Lee Tsuen Seng (2) and Przemyslaw Wacha (1) in the SF and F.

Roslin never had the chance to meet Kendrick in the final and Kendrick deserved the Dutch crown after his last major title a few years ago, the US Open.
