View Full Version : Yonex rackets
To all Singaporeans out there,
I would like to know the best prices of the following rackets in Sg$.
Iso 800 tour,Ti 8,Ti 10,Iso 900,Iso Ti Swing power,Iso 200 power.
I would prefer the new Yonex symbol in Iso 800 tour. Thanks!
modious 07-01-2001, 05:10 AM I only know that Ti 10 can be bought the lowest at S$145 without strings.
That is around $80 US dollars!
modious 07-01-2001, 05:14 AM Which is about $122 Canadian dollars!
Yudhi 07-01-2001, 07:12 AM Where can I get the s$145 Ti-10 modious????
Thx for ur reply!
Gladius 07-01-2001, 10:04 PM I got my Ti-10 at that price actually!!! Byron says you can try Atric Pacific Sports in Sembawang Shopping Cantre level 2. But I haven'tseen it at such a price in the shops, its more like S$165. But I got from the source .. with lots of thanks to Blitz actually.
As for ISO 900, I got my ISP900ss at S$125 also thanks to Blitz.
Iso 800 tour,Ti 8,Iso Ti Swing power,Iso 200 power? Don't know off hand.
ISO 600 Tour is about $90 with strings and free grip at most of the shops.
And Yudhi, if you're interested in the MP-100, its S$169 at Music Room, level 1 Bras Basah Complex. They are selling the Ti-10 at that price too. Still cheaper than most of the places in Singapore
Byro-Nenium 07-01-2001, 10:06 PM They have the Ti-10 at the Music Book Room? I didn't see it when i went there last weekend......
How many rackets did you buy? I thought you only bought the Ti-10 Gladius?
modious 07-01-2001, 10:49 PM He bought Ti-10, MP 100 and Iso SP 900 SX in 3 months.
1 racket every month!
So what racket is next Gladius? ;)
modious 07-01-2001, 10:50 PM Gladius got it from the distributer, thanks to Blitz's connections!
I bought my Iso Ti Swing Power SX at S$230 (including string).
Now looking for Iso Ti Swing Power SR, preferably at a lower price ..
Byro-Nenium 07-02-2001, 12:01 AM Where did you buy your Iso Ti SP SX from?
Gladius 07-02-2001, 01:52 AM Yup, but in reverse order ...
The MP-100 was THE impulse buy. But turns out to be my best buy to date.
I have yet to fully test out the Ti-10, as in getting used to it. But overall I would say I like it quite a lot. Just that it does not feel so stable and firm like the MP-100 does. But definitely much better than any of the more current crop of stuff I've tried from you guys or my other friends.
Now that I've gotten so used to the Mp-100 and the Ti-10, the ISP 900SS feels kinda crappy ! I think I seriously got some poor habits sneaking into my game. Maybe I should play more on my ISP 900ss to get rid of them. I notice I'm slicing the shuttle a little more frequently even for clears. Its not noticeable on the Mp-100 but on the ISP 900 it makes hell a lot of difference .. the shuttle does not move !!!

Yudhi 07-02-2001, 02:08 AM So where can I get Ti-10 at $145??
I got mine from Queensway Shopping Center (ground floor)
I know that in countries OTHER than Singapore, Iso Ti SP series is cheaper than Ti10.
I don't understand why this racquet is bloody expensive here in Singapore.
I saw in some sites selling badminton racquets provided in BC link that Iso Ti SP is about $20 cheaper than Ti10. When I went back to Indonesia I also noticed that they are selling cheaper than Ti10.
But here in Singapore it is even more expensive than MP100 !!
MP100 is about $170, while Iso Ti SP is still at $230 !!!!!
I just don't get it.
modious 07-02-2001, 05:05 AM Atric Pacific Sports in Sembawang Shopping Centre level 2.
James 07-02-2001, 06:03 AM Was chatting with a staff from Music Book Room and I commented that there are places (like Zenith Sports) that sell the Ti 10 for $148 (without strings).
She commented that some of these Ti 10 are made in China and thus the lower retail price.
Any truth in this?
Byro-Nenium 07-02-2001, 08:03 AM I really doubt so.....
Gladius,
Thanks a lot and i am interested at the Isometric 600 Power.I think u got it wrong by saying tour.
Can u name a few shops which sell it for 90Sg$.It would be of great help.
Thanks
All these are stories by these ppl.....
trying to blow each other business down.
maybe her's Ti-10 come from this source.... whose know ??
Bhura 07-02-2001, 09:31 AM Hi Yogesh,
I thot that you swear by Ti-10. Why the sudden interest in the ISO 600?
Are you a reseller i.e. buy it cheap at one place and have it sold at a higher price elsewhere like India???
James 07-02-2001, 09:35 AM Well, we will never know. The best judge would be the durability of the racquet.
100% agree with Wins Gan.
I grew to disbelieve the salespersons.
Two occassions:
1. When I wanted to buy a SONY handycam, but the salesperson insisted that JVC is better. He even hooked it up to a TV and showed how bad the result is when compared to JVC. And it was really terrible!, SONY's result was blur and the color was not sharp compared to JVC. But I did notice that he hooked the JVC to a different jack than that of SONY, so I was convinced that he's trying to con me. When I decided to buy the SONY Handycam, he said that he can not guarantee if the unit malfunctions, etc., still tried very hard to discourage me to buy JVC. At the end, still get myself a SONY handycam, and when I hooked it up on my TV the result was excellent!!
2. When I wanted to purchase a SONY portable VCD player, but again the salesperson (different store) tried to convince me that SONY is no good, the lens will melt when playing pirated VCD, etc.. But me is a strong believer in SONY product, I still insist to purchase the SONY. Now it's already two years using SONY VCD player and it is still working in a fine condition (- most of the time playing pirated VCD's).
I guess they make more profit by selling other brands.
Gladius 07-02-2001, 10:14 AM They DO!! Sony controls prices very rigidly in Singapore, hence profit margins aren't very high. Whereas, other brands do not, that's why they push it very hard, and get a better commission out of it!
Now back to Zenith, well they have a number of "Ti-10, Ti-7, wannabes" hanging on the shelves! I mean really copycat models made to look like the real mccoy. Just named differently. Perhaps that's where the accusations stem from?
Anyway, the items sold at Music Room ain't fake I had a very good look at all the stuff they had. But I really wonder is there's the need for such accusations at all.
Byro-Nenium 07-02-2001, 10:46 AM Yeah and then again, no one will break their racket on purpose to see how durable it is..... lol.....
harry 07-02-2001, 10:56 AM yogesh, how much is tiSP in india? you said the mp prices are gonna drop, did they yet? and how come teh iso900 is $90 when teh ti10 and ti8 is only $78? is iso900 really that popular in india?
Bhura,
I still Swear by Ti 10.I want to Buy Iso 600 power because it is used By Gopichand.
And i am a maniac of the great old rackets produced by Yonex. I will never buy ti 6 or a ti 5.
All these rackets are painting jobs of rackets like Iso 200 power and Iso 600Power.
Iso 200 power is way more studier than the Ti 5.
But Ti 10 is the best racket ever produced by Yonex.
And by the way, i would not stoop down so much to buy something from Singapore to resell it here. I think u got me all wrong!I am not one of these idiotic dealers.
It is just that these guys charge so much extra and singapore is so near and friends and family keep travelling that i am interested in buying stuff which are exhorbitant here.
I am a student and a baddy enthusiast and not a MIDDLEMAN.I am not a PIMP.
harry,
Ti 10 and Ti 8 are very popular and the biggest advantage, is that these dealers dont work as a cartel.
So there is amazing price war and these guys would do anything to sell quantities.
U can get a ti 8 for the same price of ti 5,6 and 7.The prices of Ti 8 have dropped of late.
Iso ti swing power works out to Arnd 102USd.I think it just works like Singapore here.In singapore these things are costlier than the tI 10 or Ti 8.
I dunno why. probably that these are not used much like ti 10 or ti 8.
I hope this helps.
Bhura 07-03-2001, 02:24 AM Yogesh, I was just curious. I know of people who arbitrages in hope of a quick profit. I guess that you are not one of them.
Bhura 07-03-2001, 02:30 AM By the way, the ISO 600 is a good racket - firm control and lots of power in play. I am thinking of getting another racket and the ISO 800 Tour is a good candidate. It sells for $120 in Singapore.
Have you compared the ISO 600 with the ISO 800 before?
Bhura,
These are my dream rackets.Iso 200 power,Iso 600 power,Iso 900,Iso 800 tour.
Ti 10,Mp 77 ,Mp 100,Aerotus 110 Sp and Cab 9 tour.
Out of these i have just realised my dream of ti 10 and that too i am planning to sell to buy a new one.
I think the price Quoted by you(120) is for the Iso 800 tour. someone had quoted that u get iso 600 power for 90Sg$.
I would like to know whether the Iso tour has the new Yonex symbol.
Thanks and i dont think it is very feasible to make a quick buck on one single sale of a badminton racket. that too in India.I guess economies of scale takes effect
yogesh,
how much (approx) cab 21 cost in india?
thanks....
Xbc,
There are 2 versions in Cab 21. The "Sp" version and the "Special" version.
The "Sp" is abt Rs 2250/-.
The special Version is abt RS.1950/-
To convert them into USD divide them by 45.
To convert them to Sg$ divide them by 25.
To convert them into Canadian $ divide by 30.
yogesh,
thanks...i was looking for the SP..that's only US$50 which is half of what it cost here...it's US$99 here..

Its a currency converting site.....
cooler 07-04-2001, 02:51 PM i dont own an iso200 but is the iso200 you are referring to is black or very very dark color one?
harry 07-04-2001, 10:02 PM so the more popular it is the less expensive it is in india? ha, itz the opposite here in canada. the more popular the more expensive!
Cooler,
The iso 200 power is Green in color. U can take a look at it at badmintonpage.com
This is a pretty famous racket among the plp who support the older version of yonex rackets.A great offensive racket and highly underrated!
I hope this helps!
cooler 07-05-2001, 02:33 AM yes, the green iso200 (flex) u r referring to is of 1997 vintage. Actually, Yonex made the first iso200 in 1994 (medium flex) and it was black. Iso200 (green) is good value but i personally would prefer a stiffer cousin iso600 or iso800.
quan N. 07-24-2001, 12:05 AM can u put a price on your ISO ti swing power.
cause in the us the highest price is $149.00
and how long did u use it?
