View Full Version : Yonex at BSO!
ToxBad 10-21-2007, 01:54 PM The prices for Yonex rackets at Badminton Shop Online are really low...
Is it a shop we can trust?
What should I do to avoid getting counterfeit crapps...?
Thx
ToxBad 10-21-2007, 01:59 PM www.badmintonshoponline.us (http://www.badmintonshoponline.us) for those who don't know what it is...
Their price is not low...
Also, BSO has been doing some unethical things, such as falsely accusing legit shops selling counterfeits on several fourms different forums such as this one for instance. Would not recommend a store who would do that.
JonYKN 10-21-2007, 02:29 PM too true =/ their prices appear low but thats before you factor in the cost of shipping. I believe when i bought a racquet, it was almost $30 for shipping to Ontario...
ToxBad 10-21-2007, 02:30 PM Ok Matt, I'm living in Canada ( Québec) just like you and I want to know where I can find REAL YONEX rackets for a fair price. So if you consider BSO as a shop where prices aren't low, you should get your rackets in a shop where prices are really low, so where should I look for Yonex rackets??
Is Apacs racket is something to consider?
I'm playing with an AT-700(new color) that I've paid around 290$CAD (including strings, stringing, shipping and taxes) in a shop I can trust: www.tenniszon.com (http://www.tenniszon.com)
Thank you, I'll be waiting for your reply.
xXazn_romeoXx 10-21-2007, 05:10 PM they appear to be low...but as mention, factor in shipping, PLUS customs (ya i was in for a real suprise extra $40 customs fee, plus a week and bit late)...it's not as great a deal as you think...but it is legit, and if you want for sure legit things, that's a good option...but only if you wana deal with something like that ;)
ToxBad 10-21-2007, 06:03 PM ok but what are the other options??
BennyC 10-22-2007, 09:29 AM Why not consider buying off sumai or tum on ebay? They sell legit TH coded rackets. You should really consider them because their prices are quite low =]
xXazn_romeoXx 10-22-2007, 03:55 PM ^ legit dealers, but that depends on your definition of quite low benny ;)...i don't have all the money in the world XD...sumai's jerseys are a bit overpriced, but definately legit =P
pedro22 10-22-2007, 11:24 PM ToxBad, if you're considering buying a non-CD code Yonex racquet from overseas then have a look at www.mjstrings.ca (http://www.mjstrings.ca). They are a Toronto shop that specializes in importing TH code racquets which they sell cheaper than CD code ones. Their prices are tax-in and shipping should only be around $16 within Canada. Just remember there won't be any warranty from Yonex Canada if something happens to the racquet that is not CD code.
BennyC 10-23-2007, 12:48 PM Well Sumai's jerseys arent really over priced, compared to what we have in Ontario, but the rackets are definately worth it..Once i start working ima buy from him or tum cuz the prices are great! XD
As for mjstrings, it would be more convenient to buy from them, since they are located within canada, however i find the rackets a bit overpriced... Maxsports is another good place, although their prices are like most shops in canada, they are very reputable and i bought my At900T from them and all i can say is great service! Plus, if u buy items over $200, free shipping + stringing where as mjstrings makes you pay for shipping, strings, labour and paypal fees..which will sum up to a final price almost as though you were paying for a CD coded. On top of that, since mjstrings rackets are imported, you get no warranty.
In conclusion if u want warranty, a fair price and not face any custom charges( these charges can get quite high =/), id highly reccommend Maxsports. But thats just what i think ;) However if you were looking to buy teh arcsaber...then buy from them!
Legendarydoug 10-24-2007, 11:20 PM badmintonwarehouse.com : Don't bother with this site if you're looking for yonex stuff.
badmintonalley.com
badminton.net
theres also NRC sports but i lost the URL and too lazy to look for it.
I"m not sure if they ship to canada.
iaroweza 10-25-2007, 11:38 PM I just bought a Yonex Racket from Badminton Alley. I can speak to their good customer service. Like the genius that I am I mis-typed the street number when ordering it online. I called them up right away and everything was straightened out quickly. The racket arrived on time, intact and strung.
I'm no expert at identifying fakes but it looks real to me. The serial numbers match the format they are supposed to (both cone and shaft numbers) and Badminton Alley seems like a reputable store to me.
