Watching from the court-side, did LCW limp with the knee injury like we read on the news from Misbun ?
Have a safe flight :D

Zhang Ning will play even thought she's still injured.

She still needs to lead the WS squad, the squad will crumble without Zhang Ning around. This CHN squad overdependence on Zhang Ning is very perplexing.

What's the point of sending her to Paris ? For OG & SS Finals, she already is a certain qualifier...

Is a Super Series, nothing is easy. If Chen Hong doesn't meet with Boonsak then will be Choon Haan , Kenneth Jonassen, Taufik, Sony Kuncoro, Simon Santoso, .... Basically you have to be very good to go beyond 1st round. Power of Super Series!

For OG, a country can send up to 3 players if the players are ranked at the top 4, and for SS Final, a country can only send their top 2 players to take part. As for the latest world ranking, ZN had dropped to world No.3, and LL is 9 points behind her. IMO, with ZN current form caused by her injury, she'll probably drop to No.4 after French Open. So, there are no such thing that she is already a certain qualifier for OG and SS Final.

are you sure LL is just 9 pts behind ZN?

Chen Yu has been replaced by John Moody....I do not know why Joachim has not been promoted yet as he is seeded 2 but seeded 1,3 and 4 have been promoted to Main draw.....

Good point.CHN is quite anxious to field the maximum of 3 because for all their titles to date, they usually send at least 3, normally 4 (except MD). The moment they can only field 2, with the nationality separation rule for OG08, the 'team strategy' evaporates. Also if only 2, LYB will have a hard time choosing which 2;ZN & XXF or ZN & LL or XXF & LL, etc? I wish for LYB to have that pleasure 5x, so CHN can win with credibility, should they win any title.

You believe it? I think CH should retire if he's playing games with 'withdraw or walkover' as needed. So that LHI or Joachim P. or Poompat can show their true worth without being disadvantaged by the human-rights-abusing 3-matches-in-a-day qualifying.
