i've seen players wearing and using yonex products not available in the UK, does anybody know where to get hold of a catalogue of the Japanese catalogue and who could supply items to me?

Goto http://www.shuttle-house.com, they have scanned the entire Yonex catalog and publish on the Web. However they don't do mail order outside Japan. You can order through Luxis in HK (e-mail address is luxissport@yahoo.com.hk).
