They just arrived in GZ an hour ago.......transit in HGK for 5 hrs..I guess It was shopping time.....Taufik decided not to compete due to fatigue....i guess it is tough to play BCL anyway......

That is not a YOnex racket. That is his ( LCW ) training racket. Its heavy, its around 120gms.

The At900 i was refering to LinDan.. :)..

As Lin Dan's first match is against Park Sung Hwan, he's probably sparring with someone pretending to be Sung Hwan. :D

She's the one that made short work of Singapore's doughty Xing Aiying at the Doha Asian Games :cool:

Hendra is 181 cm tall.. Zhong Bo is 190 cm tall.

We've had quite a few of such short stocky guys, since the late 50s.

1. Eddy Choong (probably the shortest)
2. Ng Boon Bee
3. Ade Candra (probably the tallest, still much shorter than INA Chief Coach Christian Hadinata)
4. Jon-Holst Christensen
5. Yap Kim Hock
6. Kido

I suppose nature tried to be fair to them, by trading lack of height with super strong leaping smashes ........ :D:D:D. Would have put Rexy in the list, but he's quite a bit taller and a lot thinner during his playing days.

i was wondering what happened during the LCW vs BCL match when a european guy in red went up to the umpire and said something after the bad line calls. who was the european guy? was he in charge of line judges or something? or was he simply a representative of something? the umpire seems to listen to him and then he sorts of walk away quite not satisfied. anybody knows what that was about?

does every tournament have different tournament referee? do they rotate? how do they choose who will be the tournament's referee? i think it is a good idea to have a tournament referee. hopefully it will curb the bad line calls a bit if not entirely. :)

2. how to even more quickly signal 'In for 'Out'
3. how to keep an absolutely straight face
4. how to suppress that smile when the game resumes
5. how to suppress that elation when Team China wins
6. how to look harassed if the media is looking your way
7. how to love Lin Yongbo and all the good he is doing

By the way, this course is called 'Higher Diploma In Competition Strategy' ;)

Some of them might get to practice their skills at the Hong Kong Open 2007. :cool:

..i believe they'll appoint different referees for different tournament(s), although i doubt they rotate them. As for who actually choose, or the actual process of selecting the tournament referees, maybe others who are close to BWF can share a bit more??...Btw, i thought Ben L. did a good job, esp. during the MS Final when LCW complained for the second questionable call, by coming out and actually talked to the chair umpire.
