I posted already...due to fatigue and also most of them did not get to Jakarta until 9 pm as flights had been delayed....then their next flight was 9 am next morning...It will be very tough for him to beat in-form Bao so it is better for him to take a rest and play in HKG open....come to HKG to see TH,....:D

Yes, he has been playing non-stop - so time to take a breather. It will do him good. It is a waste of time if the player is tired. It will spoil his reputation if he exits 1st round.

Yeah, withdrawal is the best decision as his drawing are really tough in both CHN and HKG SS to meet top Chinese player at opening round. He will prepare and focus for Hongkong SS next week to produce best result.

LD is smarter, he participated in china open AND chose to exit early and rest.

LD should have won yesterday when he was leading 20-18 but his smash was out a bit....then it was deuce....in 3rd set...LD was tired....FYI, no sighting of LYB at all...

Give Park credit as he defended very well, Lin Dan was given numerous chances but unable to kill him. Some may say Lin Dan did not play to his usual standard but more than often it has something to do with his opponent effectiveness in many areas.
Don't count the Chinese out yet as Chen Hong, Bao Chunlai and Chen Jin are still in there, imagine if Peter Gade or Chong Wei stumble today then the whole scenario change again.

..that's my initial thought also, after learning LD had lost..Anyways, maybe he's looking fw to play & have a re-match vs. Taufik again in the HK Open, esp. after TH's infamous debacle during last yr's HK Open..:p:(..I'm sure all eyes/cameras/camcorders(yes, kwun's also;)) will be watching/recording/documenting, IF and when LD and Taufik do hook up, again, next week..:cool:

TH made a wise decision. Better to do well in HKO alone than to do badly by playing in both CO and HKO.Imagine LD got knocked out in R1 and TH in QF, LD's gonna be fresher than TH for HKO.With proper rest for a week, TH is gonna be as fresh as he can be and maybe at least hungry as well.

If Sony win over LCW today in CO QF, then he might be able to overtake TH position in WR..
Both will still grab the Olympics Spots, if by MAY Next Year(?), they are remain inside top 16 .. Unless there is a dramtically drop of form from either one of them or other players can earn more points than them by creating upsets here & there in SS.

Maybe it's true...ha...ha.. Anyway it has been mentioned a number of times by LD that when he and TH play, they somehow bring the game to a higher level (except for final set JO '06 - my view). And I think that's something positive for the game, players and us fans.
