While fatigue is a factor, I would still expect any top 4 ranked player/team to be able to pass 1st round. By all means, losing in q-finals, semis, final is acceptable if you are fatigued after continuous tourneys. Just not in 1st round.

Anyway, in MD's case, it has been proven, neither Koo/Tan, Cai/Fu or Kido/Setiawan can be consistent enough, unlike in the previous generations.

I am very surprised the Malaysian pair beat CAI-FU. They must have worked out the Chinese play and nullify them. Tops to Rexy.

1) Like someone else said, Zakry/Fairuz are fresh. They didnt play in Denmark and France.
2) Cai Yun suffered an injury during final of France Open, so maybe havent fully recovered.
3) Zakry/Fairuz in the 3rd set were very fired up and determined to win- esp Zakry. That was how they beat Tony/Candra in Indonesia. They are faster than in Indonesia Open. Hopefully they keep it up, keep mentally strong, esp Fairuz.

I didnt manage to watch 1st 2 sets though, want to watch how they played.
