That kwun's photo must have been taken before Round 1 of the China Open SS 2007. It looks like that Greysia Polii was already exhausted before she was to play Zhang Jiewen and Yang Wei. *** bic33 11-27-2007, 08:14 AM Is that yonex training racket he's holding? Did u do any editing? kwun 11-27-2007, 10:39 AM Nice shots... thats the magic of Mark3. Did u do any editing? actually, most of these can be done with many other decent DSLRs. i think only a few are stretching the capability of the mk3. no edits other than crops. ants 11-27-2007, 10:42 AM actually, most of these can be done with many other decent DSLRs. i think only a few are stretching the capability of the mk3. no edits other than crops. The lights there must be good then. kwun 11-27-2007, 10:44 AM The lights there must be good then. yeah. the lighting is the best i have ever shot. and probably close to the best one can realistically expect for badminton. ants 11-27-2007, 10:47 AM yeah. the lighting is the best i have ever shot. and probably close to the best one can realistically expect for badminton. Personally i think when they have all the lights focused on the court and the background ( spectators/stands ) is dim and dark, is the best for photographers. Like All England or Copenhagen Masters. asriwn 11-27-2007, 11:21 AM kwun, do you have player picture at the gym????so we can know correct technics for a weight training....tq robin7 11-27-2007, 11:54 AM Kwun, excellent photos. Did some googling, more like La Fleche to me:confused: It's MP100...:D:D:p Yes, its a La Fleche training racket. Just curious, what is La Fleche training racket? Is it heavier than normal racket? how does it help during the match? can "hantam kuat kuat" (hit hard hard)? :p you guys are pretty amazing what you can spot. as ants said, it is a La Fleche training racket. you can see it in the zoomed in photo here. http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=37437&stc=1&d=1196165413 ctjcad 12-10-2007, 05:05 PM you guys are pretty amazing what you can spot. as ants said, it is a La Fleche training racket. you can see it in the zoomed in photo here. ..and even with a YY logo, stenciled on the stringbed, to disguise the brand.. azabaz_ipoh 12-10-2007, 11:26 PM wow, would this get TBH in trouble? hehehe. ants 12-11-2007, 02:43 AM Nope.. he will not be in trouble. He only uses the racket during training. azabaz_ipoh 12-11-2007, 02:52 AM maybe yonex should consider making traning rackets themselves. :) ants 12-11-2007, 08:12 PM maybe yonex should consider making traning rackets themselves. :) Hahah... maybe.. AChan 12-14-2007, 05:59 PM Kwun, I like ur China Open photo very much!!! Amazed  by many shots like Sudket, Liliyana, different coaches... Very sharp+good timing+good graphic;) Oldhand 12-15-2007, 01:45 AM the last batch, photos from Sunday's finals. I particularly like the 11th (WMC) and 12th (LYB) pictures. (I can't figure out how to extract those two from kwun's original post :o) There's an air of great suspense in that shot of WMC about to serve... ...as if she's poised on the threshold of some great personal moment (which was true). :) As for Li Yongbo's picture, the expression and the darkness beyond somehow seem analogous... ...after all, his tactics and methods allegedly have a sinister air about them. :D kwun 12-15-2007, 08:41 PM As for Li Yongbo's picture, the expression and the darkness beyond somehow seem analogous... ...after all, his tactics and methods allegedly have a sinister air about them. :D yeah. that's exactly it. :) looking back at the photos, i am really satisfied with the results. unfortunately next year the China Open will not be held in Guangzhou anymore as the contract has expired. i am going to miss watching China Open. Cheung 12-15-2007, 11:00 PM Chen Jin doing round the back shot is good! george@chongwei 12-15-2007, 11:19 PM nice pictures there...!!:) chickenpoodle 12-16-2007, 02:46 AM ..and even with a YY logo, stenciled on the stringbed, to disguise the brand.. i don't think its to disguise the brand. i believe tbh simply had that training racquet amongst his ti-10s for strining from the big yonex booth. its free stringing since he's a sponsored player, so naturally, the stringers all ink the strings. and since the lafleche racquet was included, they would ink it with their yonex stencil as well. disguising would of been a case like peter rasmussen when he was using his cabs while sponsored by carlton. he would have inked the carlton logos himself since i'm sure carlton didn't have their own stringers at the tourneys ctjcad 12-16-2007, 01:31 PM I particularly like the 11th (WMC) and 12th (LYB) pictures. (I can't figure out how to extract those two from kwun's original post :o) ..Oldhand, i assume you're trying to use kwun's pics for reference??..Hmm, to "extract" the pics you have to: - Right click on the picture - Select Properties, you'll then see the link/URL address - Highlight & copy the link/URL address up til the end of the five digit number, just before the "&stc..." - Then use ..... format, in your post, and paste the link/address in between the formatting..and voila!:) i don't think its to disguise the brand. i believe tbh simply had that training racquet amongst his ti-10s for strining from the big yonex booth. its free stringing since he's a sponsored player, so naturally, the stringers all ink the strings. and since the lafleche racquet was included, they would ink it with their yonex stencil as well. disguising would of been a case like peter rasmussen when he was using his cabs while sponsored by carlton. he would have inked the carlton logos himself since i'm sure carlton didn't have their own stringers at the tourneys ..yes, I know;)..but perhaps to "disguise" it from BCers (those not familiar with LaFeche racket) trying to figure out what racket he was using.. Pete LSD 12-16-2007, 01:34 PM I have the exact same model. It's a 140 grams version. |
