Shiryu 11-30-2007, 09:08 AM Very impressive indeed. What's the secret behind Indonesia's MD ? Ben L. 11-30-2007, 09:35 AM Very impressive indeed. What's the secret behind Indonesia's MD ? Having fans that are always supportive and don't question them everytime they lose. :D Seriously, anything could happen in one tournament and they just played good this time. And NO, it is not the awakening of INA' MDs until the young pairs can replace the already known pairs. Shiryu 11-30-2007, 09:39 AM Maybe they had some strong coffee this morning. Thus they are "awaken". Having fans that are always supportive and don't question them everytime they lose. :D Seriously, anything could happen in one tournament and they just played good this time. And NO, it is not the awakening of INA' MDs until the young pairs can replace the already known pairs. apontoh 11-30-2007, 09:45 AM I think Kindra will win it tomorrow, 60-40 in their favour. Erwin Kyoto 11-30-2007, 09:50 AM I think Kindra will win it tomorrow, 60-40 in their favour. I hope so... Big problem for KiNdra is...when getting misjudge of umpire, it easily to make them not focus to play and loss spirit...:crying::crying::crying: abedeng 11-30-2007, 09:55 AM I think Kindra will win it tomorrow, 60-40 in their favour. They better, I am still sore with the service judge during the China Masters final in July. Just when the Indonesian pair was controlling the game too ......... abedeng 11-30-2007, 09:58 AM I like this, the World No 1 tag is being played around like musical chairs. Cai/Fu have had their turn, Koo/Tan held it briefly until their loss to the 2000 Olympic Champs, time for World Champs to hold World No 1. Let's see how long they can hold on to it ...... apontoh 11-30-2007, 10:06 AM I like this, the World No 1 tag is being played around like musical chairs. That's why MD world no 1 ranking is a musical chairs game ......:D Oldhand 11-30-2007, 10:55 AM Awakening? :p Don't forget that those who wake up also go to sleep later :D badMania 11-30-2007, 11:29 AM Well, Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan are pretty much ready and they ARE INA's no 1 pair right now  It will be a good matchup tomorrow. Smichz 11-30-2007, 12:03 PM Judging from their past performance, like in CO,which appears to me that CY/FHF was not playing so good, caused by injuries that occurs to CY..i believe Chandra/Tony r possible to win them..not going to be easy though. However,u guys got our support!!!Jia you!! badMania 11-30-2007, 12:08 PM Judging from their past performance, like in CO,which appears to me that CY/FHF was not playing so good, caused by injuries that occurs to CY..i believe Chandra/Tony r possible to win them..not going to be easy though. However,u guys got our support!!!Jia you!! Tony/Candra have to get past Luluk/Alvent first  I have posted my thought in the other thread and I have also PAWed for Luluk/Alvent, so, its obvious which pair I think will win tomorrow. Luluk/Alvent played an almost perfect game today, while Tony/Candra will definitely be feeling the after-effect of their exhausting match tomorrow. justin-terbalik 11-30-2007, 12:13 PM I just want LuVent win the game....to make up for lose in Japan Open couple months ago..... So Go...LuVent K Genetics 12-01-2007, 04:36 AM Yeah!! "All" Indonesians for MD. Yeah..u lost.My prediction was right.Tony/Chandra wins against them.Then..tommorow will be the match that we're all have been waiting for so long...:):):)..Another indo/indo MD!!! jimbo 12-01-2007, 10:52 AM After watching INA vs CHN (Fu-Chai) in semi final, I was suprised how good the INA pair is. They defended very well, can "lompat tinggi tinggi and hentam kuat kuat" esp the shorter INA guy. He reminds me of YapKimHock, and both are very very good attacking players. So, what's the "secret recipe"? :p If they can play at such high level at OG08, I'm sure LYB would lose his sleeps  Well done, INA pairs... syabas :) samuel882 12-01-2007, 10:58 AM Obviusly, INA can only rely on Mk/HS for the challenge of OG GOld. LulukAlvent? sorry to say they were abit Yoyo.. Joko/HAG : Too far left behind. Any top pair can beat them easily. MAS at least got two pair which is better in term of consistency, despite several embrassing loss by Koo/Tan China : Fu/Chai still the pair to beat . One of the top 3. Guo/Xie is slowly cathing up too. Oldhand 12-01-2007, 11:14 AM Yeah!! "All" Indonesians for MD. Is Tony Gunawan Indonesian any longer? I thought he sold himself to the US sometime ago. badMania 12-01-2007, 11:16 AM Obviusly, INA can only rely on Mk/HS for the challenge of OG GOld. As for Luluk/Alvent or AG/Joko, its a toss between the two  I think AG/Joko will get the nod. justin-terbalik 12-01-2007, 11:17 AM Is Tony Gunawan Indonesian any longer? I thought he sold himself to the US sometime ago. Not sold him self...he is studying there...while study can play as well mah..:p It's like...on passport he is american...but in everybody heart he is indonesian...just like michele yeoh who sell herself to hongkong:rolleyes: taufik-ist 12-01-2007, 11:18 AM Is Tony Gunawan Indonesian any longer? I thought he sold himself to the US sometime ago. tony stil holds ina pasport.. :D Oldhand 12-01-2007, 11:29 AM ...on passport he is american... tony stil holds ina pasport.. :D Who's right? taufik-ist 12-01-2007, 11:34 AM Who's right? i am... :D.. ;) badMania 12-01-2007, 11:35 AM Tony Gunawan IS STILL AN INDONESIAN CITIZEN  But I believe he holds a US green card. But since States allows one person to hold more than one passport at a time, Tony can still keep his Indonesia passport. So he is an Indonesian too. :D huangkwokhau 12-01-2007, 06:08 PM If a citizen of a country is defined as a person who holds a passport of the country, then Tony is an American. From then (late 80s) onwards, MAS players fitness were on par with INA, CHN, KOR. Previously this was what let us down in major tournaments. Oldhand 12-02-2007, 08:59 AM u know coach Tang XianHu rite? Hau-Ge will know better about this matter. Tony is still Indonesian..he is not american yet..........Taufik-ist is right ..i would tend to concur with taufik-ist and Hau-ge.. If a citizen of a country is defined as a person who holds a passport of the country, then Tony is an American. But since States allows one person to hold more than one passport at a time, Tony can still keep his Indonesia passport. So he is an Indonesian too. :D ..actually here's a bit of the explanation: U.S. allows for dual citizenships. HOWEVER, Indonesia (amongst a few other countries, incl. i believe China) does not allow dual citizenships (of any nationalities). Thus if a person already has a U.S. Citizenship/Passport, and wants to keep his/her INA passport/citizenship, the Indonesian govt. WILL NOT allow that person to extend his/her Indonesian passport, when he/she wants to extend her INA passport/citizenship. So, one has to choose to either drop one citizenship or not. Of course, that person can alway lie (not tell the truth on the extension application form)..:o:p *You can read a bit more here (post #34): http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46105&highlight=citizenship&page=2 http://www.sgwiki.com/wiki/Dual_citizenship jurong_twister 12-03-2007, 03:57 AM He should drop Indonesian passport.
