Today I just received my Nanospeed 8000, shipped to me from Hong Kong. I had to get my aunt to purchase it for me, and at the shop the owner supposedly said there was a new color for 2008 of the Nanospeed 8000. I'm pretty sure the shop is pretty reliable, as I was pointed to there by my cousin, who's friend is a very close friend of the shop owner. However, when I tried to find a mention of a 2008 model of the Nanospeed 8000, I could only find one reference, found here: http://www.badminton.net/cart/product_info.php?products_id=594&osCsid=b6.

I'm hoping you guys can help me out, and so I've included the serial number(s) and some pictures as well.

shaft serial: 7056441
cone code : 010873SP

Sorry about the bad quality of the pictures.

It cost HK$1100, which is about US$140.

Anyways, is it real or is it fake? Thanks a lot.

There is a new color for the NS8000 this year and that is it, one of my friends bought one from japan so yeah and hes talked about it lots as well. Well the date code checks out and all and you did say that the shop is reliable. But yes that is the new color for the NS8000 now. I dont see any reason why it would be fake based upon those but yes you can always look over the racquet closer and use the guide for detecting fake yonex racquets if your really worried.

Thanks a bunch, had me a bit frightened there, seeing as I couldn't find any pictures of a new colored NS8000 and only one site mentioned it.

No problem, lots of places are actually showing it online you just have to know where to look. My friend got his from shuttle house and well they do show the newer one heres the link:

But yeah, hope that you enjoy the racquet.

Being on the topic of a new color of the NS8000, I was wondering if the racket is built any different from the old color? Like how the new Ti-10 is different from the old Ti-10.

Thanks again.

As silentheart said, you need to search for it ;)

Check this link (http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47209&page=7)... and take a look at posts 53 and 54

Lol, sorry, thought he meant a search online with like Google or something :/

Thanks for the link.

By the way, what would you enter to search to get something like that? Or is it a you-have-to-have-been-there thing?

"new" "color" "ns8000" would be a good hint :D. In the search box on the upper right hand corner...

No, it is not.
It's a simple but methodical search for posts, not threads.
All you need to do is look for it within the Equipment Forum.
(And use the 'Search' function on the main menu bar.)

Also, google too would point to this forum on issues relating to badminton :)
