Hi everyone, I am new to here.

I got my christmas present not long ago from an overseas relative and here is the photos.

Can someone please tell me whether this is an original racquet? or a counterfeit product.

Thanks

From the code it looks genuine but there are certain thing you have to look out for.. follow the thread that oldhand and pointed you

the 2's don't like like the yonex's 2's.... my call is that it's counterfeit~

Adding to my post, the sticker is quite square and genuine should have rounded corners. What really jumps out at me is that the U's on the 4 U looks like they're on a diet as the genuine Yonex U's are much fatter... Also, on my at900P, the serial on the shaft is much closer to the C.S. Cap than the one on yours.

I'm now willing to bet money that it's counterfeit! I'd be shocked if it were genuine!

It looks fairly genuine from the pics, but Optiblue is also right in that the serial on the shaft is closer to the C.S.Cap..well mine is neway..lol. There's some things u can't really tell with just a pic due to lighting...see if the serial no is properly engraved and check the cap on the end of the racket because fakes usually have wierdly imprinted ends also (the yonex sign is wierdly moulded in and the green color is a bit lighter). Also I've only seen fake SP's so far but I can be wrong.

you should also post up your serial #'s in the equipment forum threads if you haven't already done so!

Thanks mate.

I have posted the serial number in the equipment forum, in the last page, page 120 i think.

Thanks for your photos. Your serial on the shaft is definitely a lot close to the word CSCAP.

I also found this one on the forum

http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=43714

the serial on the shaft is somewhat close to what I have.

Maybe both are... fake??

Yours is JP version while mine is TW version and the one in the link is CH version

ummmm interesting

I dun have my camera anymore as I borrowed the camera from one of my friends while he was here.... ummm problem problem

ooo nice~ it's most likely to be genuine from the serials~! I'm quite suprised as there are a few things that looked quite off to me anyways. I guess there's quite a bit of variation in paints and production differences between the codes for this particular racquet. At any rate, enjoy it! don't go too high tension for 4U!

THis racket(AT900) is too good to be 4U.I have one 4U technique,n it felt as powerful as a 3U.I've strung it 24*25lbs.Besides,don't worry about the tension.Once u strung, the tension will stay..because the frame really holds the tension. That way it won't drop much.
