Hi ppl,

I was wondering if any of you could help me. I haven'y had my Nanospeed 7000 racket fo rlong and i have recently found a small crack in the frame. I can't afford to buy another one, as i have recently bought one as my second racket. I was wondering if it is worth getting it remoulded or not? Will it still be weak or faulty when its been remoulded or as good as new? What do you think guys?

Thanks ppl

How would u remould the racket?By applying some sort of iron like layer above it?I personally dont think it'll work, esp if the crack is coming from the inside, not just the paint crack.Since it'll eventually break.Unless if it's just a paint chips.

I've had racquets repaired in the past and they've been ok, mind you this was a few years ago and I didn't have them strung as tightly then.

But I think I used to hit harder back then, ahh those were the days....

Central Sports have a repair service, http://www.centralsports.co.uk/

i had my mp100 remoulded last year, i think they use some sort of epoxy resin, although i can't be sure.

anyway, the result isn't very promising, the balance of the racquet has gone all wrong, it just doesn't feel like the same thing anymore. i believe i'll be giving that racquet away now to one of my cousins/nephews, it'll be good for a novice.

once rackets are broken, you cannot repair them

Yes but surely it must do some good?!

you could get used to it but i'm not sure it's worth the effort.
also, i'm sure the durability of the racquet has been permanently compromised, so you don't know when it's going to give way again.

It'll most probably make your racket headheavier, and if the crack is to one side of the frame, slightly imbalanced.

I had my AT700 (cracked at 10o'clock) "graphite repaired" (I believe they use some sort of resin compound and apply it in layers) before, and it feels heavier and the frame's stiffer than before. Racket is still playable though, and for £20-£30, much cheaper than a new racket if you're desparate.

Alternatively, you could always use the repaired racket as a training racket by adding more lead tape!

It can be repaired,by some certain ways. For mine,i changed the whole frame. But the feel n playability won't be the same again.

Ok, thanks, Yes, that is where my racket has cracked at 10 oclock on racket. But as long as its still playable with and i dont keep miss hitting shots, i dont' mind!

Also, what do yo mean Amichz that you whole frame?

One it's broken get a new one. It won't be the same again, and it's not worth the money to repair it anyways.
