I was gripping my new AT900-P with some Victor overgrips, the same ones i gripped with my old AT500 (cracked T^T), and I realized, it was too short. I re-gripped it over and over again the same style i did with my AT500, but it always came short.

I was puzzled, so I took out my AT500 and compared their grip lengths. Although they were both G4's, the AT900-P half an inch longer (doesn't sound much, but if you look it at, it's drastic)

I was confused at what I saw, so I decided to share some of the pictures to you guys and hear what you think.

Had to spread out the grip on the AT900 a lot more.

MP99, AT900, AT800 have longer handles for a bit of extra help in doubles.

G4 defines the circumference of the grip. not the length of the grip.

yup, the G4 is for the circumference. the length of the grip varies between different models. On a side note though, those grips are really dirty lol.

><' I haven't used the AT500 ever since it was cracked, just hid it away in my closet haha.

One thing still bothers me though, and I know it's a bit off-topic, but I realized that the release date for AT900 is March 2007, but the date # for mine is 240272SP, 24th Feb 2007. Release date basically means when it is up for sale in stores right...? So...it is required for rackets to be mass produced before that...?

Of course they're already mass produced before the release. It's kinda hard to start mass producing the new rackets AND release them on the same day.
