They were totally dominant and controlled the proceeding after the interval of the first set. On the other hand, Paaske/Rasmussen looked very sluggish and hesitant
So, Luluk/Alvent will meet Fu Haifeng/Cai Yun tomorrow. They last won a GP title in Indonesia Open 2004 by beating the same rival. Can they create another upset tomorrow? Hard...but not impossible given Mas Sigit Pamungkas's experience and guidance

The Danes looked very hesistant at times and once again, they failed to dominate the net, with only 1 net winners vs 7 net winners for Luluk/Alvent. Lukvent are fast in attacking and solid in defense plus good quality of serves.
The Danes are totally outplayed. If the Indonesians can reproduce the effort against Fu/Cai on tomorrow's final, they can claim their maiden SS title.
Luluk's fast serves have been troubling many opponents lately :p
If the INA pair can get a momentum going tomorrow, there is nothing to stop them. However, if the opponent can contain them from the start, Luluk will start to get frustrated and it will be all-over (like the match against Tony/Candra) :o

Indeed...they have surprised many ppl in beating Zakry/Fairuz, Jung/Lee and now Paaske/Rasmussen (who have beaten the world no 1 to 3 in the past 10 days).

But mate to be fair if u look at the match Cai-Fu has not been tested by seeded pair en route to the final....Kindra was tested by a few last week like Candra-Tony and Eriksen-Lungard. While with Luluk-Alven they beat some good pairs from the start. Starting from the tricky Thai then MAS then the host Korea and of course the giant killing Danes....Well tomorrow is moment of truth

No pressure :D It's good to have another MD pair to show that they are still capable of entering the Final and eventually win something.
Alvent looked very composed today and there was one instance when his return in front of the net fooled the Danes.

What's your problems, dude? Did u have a traumatic childhood or have u been offended by Malaysians? I've been watching u for quite some time, your posts are offensive and negative so far? Seriously, has anyone ever offended u in this forum? R u saying all these because your country has 2 representatives in the finals? Otherwise, stop acting like a child.

It's all over and unexpectedly, Luluk Hadiyanto/Alvent Yulianto march on to their second SS Final after a comprehensive victory over Lars Paaske/Jonas Rasmussen 21-16, 21-13.
So, Luluk/Alvent will meet Fu Haifeng/Cai Yun tomorrow.
I'm quite surprised myself that Luluk-Alvent can get this far in the Korean Open... :p
now INA has new pairs in Final match of SS (MD: Luluk/Alvent and XD: Flandy/Vita) ...as usual Kido/Setyawan and Nova/Lilayana played in Final match of China SS 2007 and Hongkong SS 2007 (also World champ 200)...
Luluk-Alvent were there before Kido-Setiawan. They won the Korean Open and the Indonesian Open in 2004, Erwin... So, actually, Kido-Setiawan are the newer pair... :p ;) Oh, by the way, Flandy-Vita's record in SS tournaments are waaaay better than Lily-Nova... Flandy-Vita won the Singapore SS and the French SS last year...
Well but honestly I dun think Luluk-Alven can clinch this super series...Cai and Fu are too hot to handle tomorrow
I hope they do, but I think they have a 40% chance of winning against Cai-Fu... :)
You will never know.............Luluk wanted to prove to PBSI that they are better than Joko/Hendra AG....he is still upset not selected for SEA GAMES....
That's true, Hau-ge... Luluk is very angry that he wasn't selected to go to SEA Games [and missed out on earning part of Rp 200 million, if he got the gold medal].... :D

So, my prediction came true. When luluk/alvent are in form, they can beat anypair. Btw, i don't know whether luvent ever met with cai/fu before. And how their head to head scores?
I'm pretty sure Cai-Fu is leading their head to head scores. Cai-Fu defeated Luluk-Alvent in the Thomas Cup 2004, then lost to Luluk-Alvent in the finals of Indonesian Open 2004... Other than this, I forgot... Sorry... :p

Fu/Cai beat Luluk/Alvent in these other events in 2005-2007:
1. Malaysia Open 2005 SF
2. Thomas Cup 2006 SF (22-24, 17-21)
3. World Championships QF
4. China Open 2006 SF (3 sets)
5. French Open QF (also in 3 sets, when Luluk/Alvent were leading 13-9 in the second set only to lose 18-21, and then 16-21 in the rubber-set)

wow. what happened in the last few points? they went really quickly. anybody watching?
Robin is watching....Robin..pls tell us a bit on the match......
Honestly, the match was not that exciting to watch as there were many errors committed by both sides (esp the Danes). But, I think the INA pair played a good tactical match.
Lukvent are fast in attacking and solid in defense plus good quality of serves.
The Danes are totally outplayed in every aspect. If the Indonesians can reproduce the effort against Fu/Cai at tomorrow's final, they can claim their maiden SS title.
Note: I was watching live downstairs but my laptop was upstairs.
..i was able to force myself & catch the MD Semifinal match between the INA vs. DEN on CCTV5, just as i logged off from BC, but did it with my eyes half awake...:D :p
Here are my thoughts, based on my recollection, on the match:
- The match was, IMO, not as exciting as there were quite a few errors with not many rallies. But most notably, the errors came from the Danes' side and they came at crucial junction(s) of the game. Lars, IMO, made a few uncharacteristic errors, mostly near the front of the court/net. This, IMO, was the glaring factor in the match y'day.
- Luluk & Alvent didn't seem nervous or out of focus throughout the entire match. They were quite fast and played a style, which IMO, suited to their strength. To that end, the DEN pair wasn't given much chances to setup their attacks; perhaps playing a bit too defensive. While on the other side, the INA played an offensive game by staying away from the usual lift & smash. Instead they employed quite a bit of fast drives & pushes (to the corners & back) to set up their smashes/attacks. That strategy, on many instances, put the DEN pair out of position. Also, the INA pair was able to get their point(s) after 1 or 2 smashes and their defense was pretty consistent.
I would say the attacking percentage between the INA & DEN was around 70-30 in favor of the INA pair. The INA pair was basically in control of the entire match.
- Oh, re the services from both pairs, there were a few errors from both, but overall, the errros were quite minimal. All of them, i thought, weren't the main factor in the outcome. Both pairs also employed a couple of flick/high services, here and there.
After the MD match, CCTV5 showed the taped delayed XD match between XZB&ZYW vs. LYD&LHJ. And I feel asleep half-way through the 1st set.:p..
OK, that's all...looking fw to CCTV5's coverage again tonight..:)

Yup....pretty much summed up my thoughts as well. Of course, they were not as fast as Kido/Hendra, but, they need not be, considering their age. IMHO, they really stayed to their tactics with the now distinctive game of fast drives and pushes (thanks to Mas Sigit).
I believe they need to employ the same strategy against Fu/Cai, with the key of preventing themselves from lifting the ball for an easy kill by the Chinese pair. They will also need to match or even outplay Cai Yun in front of the net as soon as the match starts, and rely on the same strategy Kido/Hendra beat the Chinese in the HK Open, with lots of fast drives, which I think the Chinese dislikes.
