It'd be much better if u can get one. Otherwise, the easiest way is to get the taxi on the spot. Be extra careful when choosing the taxi, some taxis have similar color and logo with the Blue Bird. I had had a bad experince with those taxis. Just be careful.

..not sure if this is valid throughout INA or if all the banks apply the same requirements or not, but some banks/financial institutions in INA only accept certain U.S. Dollars; in other words, they won't accept certain U.S. dollars from any year and in a "less-than-pristine" condition.
I believe, the last time i was there (last yr), they only looked for newer U.S. dollars (after 2004) in exchange for INA Rupiahs. In addition, they'll look for certain prefix letter(s) in front of the money's serial number.
Of course, you guys can do exchanges at those Money Exchanger kiosks and they might take any type of U.S. dollars.:)

Yeah, yeah, don't worry about taxis and transportation to hotel. Worry about how ur leave might be frozen:eek:, or how u r gonna pay for accommodation, and how many billion Rps you have to bring, or stomach ache eating so many Indonesian delicacies ........ :p.

Other than the Cat, our group will arrive quite early in the morning. Which could be a problem when it comes to early check-in. But I will get us to check in on one room first before 1 pm, so that at least we have an avenue to sit down, leave our bags and freshen up.

Those with SGDs are recommended to bring 'em along and pay me, I'll pay ur hotel bills, got a few trips to S'pore coming up ........ saves time to go to money changer ... :D

Just change enough Rps for food and grocery, cabby fare during outings, and of course, the Airport departure tax.

Century Park is rated 4 stars. A pretty decent 4 stars, save perhaps the bathroom fitments. With it's own friendly "grocery warehouse" nearby, Plaza Senayan.

This hotel is underrated, 'cos it is not within the Gatot Subroto, Asia Afrika and Jendral Sudirman main arteries. Which is good for those who prefer peace and quiet, and willingness to exercise leg muscles.

About 500 metres on a straight line to Istora Senayan via the side entrance, maybe just about 1 km to the old Hilton.

About 500 metres on a straight line to Istora Senayan via the side entrance, maybe just about 1 km to the old Hilton.

For Atlet Century Park Group: Just got confirmation from our Hotel's Director of Sales, he will arrange for rooms side by side for our group. Even got me an early check in. Later I will try to get a late checkout for the Cat lady on the 20th, her flight back to Cat City is not due until about 4 pm.

Now finalizing "The Transporter" arrangements to and from Airport. Yup, we have some "fragile packages" to transport, and not enough tripods ......
