INA Thomas Cup simulation match will be held in Bandung and Batam with focus to search fourth men's singles player to join Thomas team member. Now, there're several candidates who probably will fill that position such as Tommy Sugiarto, Alamsyah Yunus and Andre Kurniawan Tedjono.

-Part 1 : 23 February 2008 (18.00 WIB) -- Bandung, West Java for Thomas Cup only because major of Uber Cup team members will concentrate to German Open 2008 (26 Feb - 02 March 2008). This simulation provides prize money IDR.50,000,000 where Rajawali (eagle) team faces Harimau (tiger) team. Here's the squad member :

Special selection planned to pick fourth Men's Singles player will be held after Suisse SS tournament (11-16 March/08). Three Pelatnas players who will be selected to fill that position are Tommy Sugiarto, Alamsyah Yunus and Andreas Adityawarman.

This selection actually will involve non-Pelatnas player, Andre Kurniawan Tedjono (PB Djarum Kudus) but Lius Pongoh as PB PBSI Head of Athlete's Performance Building, Sunday (24/02) in Bandung said selection which involved outside Pelatnas player will be discussed together with other PBSI official.

INA Thomas-Uber team will play second part of simulation match which scheduled on March 28 and 29, 2008 in Batam-Kepri (Riau Islands). And Malaysia will become Indonesia's opponent as planned for that two days occasion.

"I have contacted BAM Secretary General two weeks ago. Local organizer will give free of charge for Malaysia team accomodation and transportation but they must bring primary team. They have verbally agreed," said Cahya, PBSI Chief of Kepri region when interviewed in Batam, Thursday (13/3).

Furthermore, Cahya talked he has asked PB PBSI to write official invitation letter for BAM. "For certain answer from Malaysia probably next week after Suisse Super Series tournament," said Cahya.

Indonesia ( Batam) will take care all accomodations, etc with one condition that MAS will send Main team.

Uber cup simulation will take place on march 28 while Thomas cup simulation will be on March 29.

Sigit's knee was injured at that time, I think... :( But we had Flandy-Eng Hian etc. We weren't weak. But Jens-Martin and Lars-Jonas were VERY good in 2004. Both were ranked # 1 or #2 or #3 in the world or something... We weren't that surprised that DEN won both MD matches in 2004... :p This year, we are better off in MS and MD... ;) Simon, our third MS, is now #10 in the world... not just another baby-faced kid out of nowhere... :cool:

Aprillia did beat Nana at the finals of our 2007 National Championships... If I were Susi Susanti, I will just nominate Nana. She is more feisty and consistent...

As for Andre vs. Tommy vs. Alam, these 3 are not too far apart in skills... Adit is quite far beneath the other 3. If everyone is healthy and relaxed, I think Andre should be the best among them.
