I do , It's on Sky Sports Xtra. I think it's QF to F. Can't remember the time it starts but I can check on Sky nearer the time.

That is certainly what they did last year.
They had live coverage for QF starting about 5pm (GMT) until about 11:00
And then coverage from about 1 pm until about 5 pm on the Saturday and Sunday.

Last year I watched the QF and SF at home and the Finals live. This year I will be there for all 3 days! :)

they shud show it on bbc!!! why wont they show it on normal terrestrial tv?!! they show football, tennis and sports like curling and live darts, (even poker) on normal tv all the time. how can badminton ever get popular in england if no one can watch these amazing tournaments. Even sky sports xtra is not a standard sports channel like sky sports 1, 2 and 3. You either have it seperate or you dont. ugggh.. makes me mad.

I know, it is very annoying isn't it.
It is getting better though and the BBC have shown highlights of the last two world championships and even an England Vs Germany friendly game.
And Sky did show coverage of quite a lot of the Sudirman cup.

If I remember correctly last year about a week and a half after the All England finished BBC showed a couple of hours of highlights at about two o'clock in the afternoon or something. :( It's not the best but I guess it's better than nothing.

Don't say that too early. It all comes to who ends up in the final.

Anyone know any channels in Canada (Toronto) where AE08 might possibly be broadcast? Assuming Rogers digital cable.

...or should I assume no TV network cares about AE08 in Canada, and I'll have to hit F5 every hour on the "Badminton video sharing" thread, waiting for someone to upload it =(

the current planned coverage from BBCi is abysmal:

All England Championships
Highlights round-up
Monday 10 March
0010-0110

1 hour of highlights the day after the tournament ends - yuks!

WTF??
1 hour of highlights for one of the most prestigous tournaments which is held on home soil?

absolutely pathetic.

I don't think you can blame the BBC too much as I think that Sky have the rights to show the tournament so the BBC just get the scraps that are left over.

It's ok if you have Sky, but sucks if you don't. :(
At least they are showing some of it somewhere!

Same thing can be said about those who residing in Malaysia looking around for badminton broadcast on internet or local RTM when Astro satellite TV Malaysia is available everywhere in that country. Like the Chinese proverb "giving out the near and looking for the distance" :D Is funny those who willingly to spend money yet unable to find the program provider(US, Canada) while those have program available but unwilling to subscribe, what an irony!

i'm surprised sky took the rights, there can't be many britons who subscribe to sky to watch badminton. i need to make friends with someone who has the sky sports xtra package.

Our great BBC has a 1 hour highlights program to be screened Monday 10th MArch at 1210AM, yes, in the morning!!

Sky 3 coverage begins 1/4 finals day. I'm too fed up to even check the times as by then all the UK players will be out!!

Badminton has zero coverage in the UK. Why should we have to put up with poor quality webcast to watch a sport that millions play in the UK but gets less air time than beach volleyball or tiddlywinks.

AHHHHH

What is Badminton England doing to help our professional players get the limelight they deserve.

i completely agree with you coach.. its a load of crap if u ask me. they can show LIVE poker but not live badminton on terrestrial tv.. badminton england are a joke. i get their quarterly magazine and its got more adds than anything else. I was in india and malaysia recently where there is sooooooooo much more emphasis on promoting the sport on tv and through other means. How is this sport going to get coverage in the uk if such a prestigious HOME tournament is not even broadcast for the larger audiance?!!

I'm so desperate to watch a fast racquet sport that Squash on Sky 3 is quite fulfilling. Make a change from...yawn.... Tennis, rhymes with lawn tennis association, maybe a name change is needed?.

Its surprising that Eurosport dont show more badders.
There seem to be more and more companies getting on the Webcast gravy train that we risk pushing the sport even further underground.

According to tv guide Hubei tv is showing starting 4.25 GMT = 12.25 am Msia time. Hubei tv is working.

Dunno whether it's the QF live, but can try & see.
