I think Lita/Nitya are better than Rani/Endang
Nitya is more powerful but this pair is not tactical yet the way they play.....Nitya is too dependent on Lita....if Lita is not ON...thats it...

huangkwokhau
02-28-2008, 07:18 AM
wow...6 all now.........

badMania
02-28-2008, 07:20 AM
Rani/Endang have reached a bottle-neck basically. They can't progress....always lost to Ogura/Shiota or any Japanese pair for that matter  Sometimes lost to European pairs too....frustrating. INA needs a better pair (Yuli/Lia perhaps?)

badMania
02-28-2008, 07:21 AM
Rani/Endang now trail 9-11 in the second set

It's tight at 7-7 as Lita/Nitya reach the first 1/3 of the rubber-set.

huangkwokhau
02-28-2008, 07:22 AM
Now..SIN WD leads 9-8.........

huangkwokhau

Jiang/Li are leading 11-8 in the rubber-set. I think Lita/Nitya have a slim chance now.

Meanwhile, Rani/Endang are also looking at rubber-set right now, trailing 11-17

badMania

Now..djarum MD..come on Frans/Rendra

badMania
02-28-2008, 07:44 AM
Rani Mundiasti/Endang Nursugianti eventually progress to the QF, but no without some trouble as they were stretched into rubber-sets: 21-12, 14-21, 21-13 in 47 mins. Expect them to lose to another Japanese pair Satoko Suetsuna/Miyuki Maeda yet again tomorrow

badMania
02-28-2008, 07:46 AM
The Chinese-Taipei pair shows why they are no pushovers as they lead 11-8 in the interval. In terms of experience against top pairs, Fang/Lee are superior to Fran/Rendra.

badMania
02-28-2008, 07:48 AM
From 13-11, Fang/Lee suddenly lead 19-11. No match for Fran/Rendra I am afraid.

badMania
02-28-2008, 07:50 AM
A quick job by Fang/Lee as they take the first set 21-13 comfortably.

samuel882

Andre is a great teammate to have in a team... He is respectful of all his teammates... Win or loose his body gestures and attitude is like a bull [no fear of fighting against anything] and never loose hope of winning. They call him 'Andre Banteng' [Andre the bull] in the badminton circle here... :D
..so, the next time if i do meet him, i won't be wearing my red, white and blue shirt.... ;)

Despite a brave comeback at 7-14 to level it at 14-14, Fran Kurniawan/Rendra Wijaya still lost to the more experienced Fang Chieh-Min/Lee Sheng-Mu 13-21, 21-19, 16-21. Fang/Lee will test the first-seed Jung Jae Sung/Lee Yong Dae tomorrow.

A more interesting match would be Tago vs SSM.

5 game pts saved by Shon. The young Japanese just can't finish the game as happened in the 1st game.

Wow, what a game!
SSM defeats Tago 24-22 29-27 in a very very tight hard fought battle.

The young Tago wasted 2 & 5 game pts in game 1 & 2 respectively. A good lesson for him though. Shon Seung Mo won the close match at 24-22 29-27.

Sounded like an awesome match. I guess experience won out on the crucial points. Shon is going to be bagged for the matches tomorrow

Good to see Maria and Xing passing their first stern tests. :)

Time for SEA Women to make their mark.

The Korean MS and Japanese MS have improved tournament after tournament... I am impressed... Especially the Korean trio-MS: Lee Hyun Il, Park Sung Hwang, and Shon Seung Mo... they are tough to beat and probably can win a 2-1 edge in MS over MAS if they clash in the Thomas Cup...

As for Andre loosing to Sho Sasaki... most likely, it is stamina related... The earlier match against Alamsyah was very tasking...

And they can beat INA too: from 2 of their MS and one from the doubles, wherelse it will be a 50-50 against DEN, but no match against the might CHN:cool:

Then remain awake throughout the journey and sleep only when you touch down. But don't sleep walk on our brand new Changi Terminal 3, if you have the pleasure of using it! :D
