i bought a 9000s a couple of months ago and managed to break the frame by hitting the ground a bit too hard with it when lunging to return a smash on awkward footing. it was a padded synthetic indoor gym floor. it's a shame that i broke the racquet before the strings. i now have to buy a replacement, I just wanted to check to see if anyone had any recommendations:
what i liked about the 9000s was the swift movement, decent power on drives and smashes, but i thought delicate net-touches were a bit too bouncy, and i never gained the accuracy with it that i like.
i had a backup musclepower 99 that i never used too much; used it twice since breaking the 9000s and it gave me strange pains in my elbow. it delivers beautiful smashes and i think is slightly more responsive for net playing than the 9000s was, but i think it doesn't absorb shock as well. also this racquet just feels too stiff in general.
also played a bit with my reliable old racquet, the iso tour 800 and was much more comfortable with it than either of the other two.
so i now have to select a new racquet. unfortunately, being in Kuwait I can't test new racquets as they're just not sold locally and i won't be leaving town for a while; we have one supplier of yonex equipment, but his selection is quite outdated. I've thought about the a900t, getting the 9000s again, or... am open to suggestions.
