i bought a 9000s a couple of months ago and managed to break the frame by hitting the ground a bit too hard with it when lunging to return a smash on awkward footing. it was a padded synthetic indoor gym floor. it's a shame that i broke the racquet before the strings. i now have to buy a replacement, I just wanted to check to see if anyone had any recommendations:

what i liked about the 9000s was the swift movement, decent power on drives and smashes, but i thought delicate net-touches were a bit too bouncy, and i never gained the accuracy with it that i like.

i had a backup musclepower 99 that i never used too much; used it twice since breaking the 9000s and it gave me strange pains in my elbow. it delivers beautiful smashes and i think is slightly more responsive for net playing than the 9000s was, but i think it doesn't absorb shock as well. also this racquet just feels too stiff in general.

also played a bit with my reliable old racquet, the iso tour 800 and was much more comfortable with it than either of the other two.

so i now have to select a new racquet. unfortunately, being in Kuwait I can't test new racquets as they're just not sold locally and i won't be leaving town for a while; we have one supplier of yonex equipment, but his selection is quite outdated. I've thought about the a900t, getting the 9000s again, or... am open to suggestions.

Go n get at900t/p.Good in both control n power. The rest, depends on whether u play more control or more power.

Is your Nanospeed not repairable? Carbon breaks can be fixed you know.

Nanospeed racquets break too often. I've heared so many people here saying that their NS9K is broken. Even my friend, had broken both of his NS6K's. I've also found a broken NS7700, another person I know has broken his ns8k, and i've also found a broken ns9kS. The Nanospeed racquets are too fragile IMO.

That maybe true but the racket would not perform the same. Might as well get a new racket.

I also agree about getting a AT900T/P. Which ever one to choose, like Smichz said, depends on if you want more power or control. ;)

Smichz, Canuck,

I ordered an AT900T and played with it once. It took about an hour or two to finally control it the way i like.

the first thing i noticed was that my drives were much stronger than with the 9000s. I missed a bunch of overheads at first, but then my back court lob became consistent, and then i was able to (eventually) get really nice smashes. On top of all of this, I felt a better responsiveness on the delicate shots.

I got BG80 strings at 23 lbs tension.

thanks for the advice guys, very good recommendation.

Good to hear that u like the AT900T,attrogg..besides,adapting AT900T from NS9000S is not so hard..Both r good in maneuverability. The difference is that AT is head heavy while 9K is head light.More power for smashes!!

i just got back from playing. oh yeah, the smashes are great. i feel the racquet requires a fuller swing for the smash to be effective, but a sweet smash with this racquet is really sweet. thanks again.
