You really have to admit that Park Joo Bong's presence has indeed boosted the Japanese doubles.

Tadashi Ohtsuka/Keita Masuda and Shuichi Sakamoto are 2nd rated doubles players previously, but, they are now nearing at least the top 10 pairs' standards. What they need is consistency.

Likewise, Kumiko Ogura/Reiko Shiota use to be the only reliable WD pair, but now, Japan has 2 more improving pairs: Satoko Suetsuna/Miyuki Maeda and Aki Akao/Tomomi Matsuda

the legendary player has now become a legendary coach.
in my mind, he's the ultimate doubles player, the jorden and tiger of his sport.

Yeah, you took the words right out of my mouth. Consistency is indeed the main factor now.

It should be called Korean Open instead of German Open.. :) All winners are Koreans. Congrats to them... i believe the Koreans will be a force to reckoned with during the Olympics.

Isn't it sweet, Koreans winning without any controversy?

Best match was clearly the 1st one, XD victory from the jaws of defeat .....

There have been several times whereby Jung Jae Sung/Lee Yong Dae lost to Lee Jae Jin/Hwang Ji Man in Finals....the German Opens 2007 & 2008 (2 years in a row!) and last year's Thailand Open 2007. Or is it a ploy by Ha Tae Kwon to let Lee/Hwang get more pts and perhaps get favorable seedings at the Olympics?

Surprise that Korea still allows him to coach the Japanese instead of its own team!

What will become of Korean Badminton if Park returns to coach the Korean doubles, both MD and WD? Mind-boggling?

Watch out China, unless of course if Li Mao is accepted back by LYB. This will not happen, at least in the near future, fortunately! :D

INA Badminton squad did it in XXIV SEA Games Nakhon Ratchasima - December 2007, created white wash to bag 7 badminton golds.

Also CHN has produce outstanding result, grabbed 5 golds in Beijing World Championship 1987.

Interesting to wait KOR players action in next two SS after their boombastic outcome here whether they will take title or not...

Maybe in my dreams! But dreams can come true right? If we ever win every title in AE, it has to come after Malaysia has done it! :D:D:D

Unfortunately, that may not come around in my lifetime! :(

I watched the match. Understandably, both pairs didn't play seriously and most of the shots ended in less than 5 shots. I guess the objective is clear, i.e. to get Lee/Hwang into top 8.

Do you think a Badminton Express is better than a walkover?

Well, I believe X Ball is not talking about just one AE title. He is talking about a CLEAN SWEEP as what Korea has done at the recent German Open!

Now you tell me, is it realistically possible? :D:D:D

Walkover is cheating without acting while BadEx is cheating with acting. Both are bad.:(
