wow Korea must be feeling pretty good right now. Although there weren't a lot of huge players in that tourney, none the less its still impressive.

Yup, good job for the Korean team after their success in the TC/UC Prelim. I think they have the most balanced team next to China in all 5 of the categories.

And I think Japan should be another country that worth mention. We see their flag flying more often that ever before now during QF, SF stage and sometimes in final too. Way to go.

considering the competition, it's really no surprise that they swept all 5 titles. i did expect the chinese XD team to win though, but the other categories were almost inevitable. maybe not so much for WD.

It's not a easy task either... Especially XD and WD. Korean 2nd MD beating Chinese 2nd MD may also cause LYB to worry a little bit regarding the upcoming Thomas cup.

I think Korea did a smart thing to boost their confidence ahead of AE and TC/UC by sending their A team to the GO. It's kinda intimidating to see the Korean flag all across the board. It also gives them an extra tournament to work out their kinks or try new things. I guess it worked :D:cool:

I would have thought that Team China would have walked away with the WD title (Gao Ling/Zhao Tingting), and have good chances in WS (Wang Yihan and Jiang Yanjiao, only to see both players got beaten by Jun Jae Yun) and XD titles (by fielding their no 1 seed, He Hanbin/Yu Yang). Guo Zhendong/Xie Zhongbo also have some reasonable chance, but fell to the eventual Champion Lee Jae Jin/Hwang Ji Man.

The CHN wall is getting old, erosion is cutting its strength quite a lot.

Wang Yihan does have promise though, but her mental power is still a lot like Lydia Cheah.

Strength in numbers; that's how CHN plays the game, except this time it was reversed and they got a taste of their own medicine. Certainly is a shot out to the AE field that the Koreans are coming hard.
