View Full Version : Planetbadminton.tv is slowwww
leeyco78 03-08-2008, 08:50 AM I am not sure if it is my internet connection or not. I am using a broadband 1Mbps. I been watching semifinals on planetbadminton.tv the whole night. Unfortunately I could only catch a glimpse of some part of the game as it was lagging like hell.... And the worst is I got to pay for this service, and I can't watch anything... almost 70% of the game were lagging and jerking....
Can the server ppl pls check the maintenance?

If the service is free of charge, I wouldn't be bothered, or won't be that frustrated, but I am paying for it, whereelse I can view it free on sopcast, I expect better quality, but to my dismay, it's not.

You mean for them in Spore? I used to think that too. Actually they always cross the border to JB & watch at some mamak shop that shows Astro.
I don't think is Planet's problem as I have no problem in US. Malaysia line has problem since last week.
xXazn_romeoXx 03-09-2008, 11:23 AM i've had a few problems after logging off and back in, but other than that, i believe planetbadminton is MUCH better than WoB... and i ABSOLUTELY wish they would continue to bring tournaments to us from qualifying rounds and on...only THEN would it really be worth it...quality wise, planetbadminton is still a bit better, and the price is competitive enough...

Agreed, no more blocking for Super Series, I paid for 3-month subscription for WOB and didn't even have chance to watch once :crying:
Hope Planet Badminton can survive long.
pramilainc 03-09-2008, 08:39 PM I was using planetbadminton transmission from round 1/8 to Finals. I'm streaming from Singapore using Singnet ~3mbps connection. For me I hardly ever had problems with transmission. As long as it was transmitting, it was very smooth and picture quality was very acceptable. There were a few intermittent interruptions, but generally it was again up & running in 5-10 mins time.
But the site itself was a different story. Logging into site was a nightmare. I was using IE/Netscape on windows machine. There were 3 different recurring errors (one javascript, one server side, one message box pop up), it was almost impossible to login. Luckily when I managed to log in, i took note of the WM file and all i had to do was change the filename according to the date to watch stream directly, by-passing the web site.
As in all, it was enjoyable, given i was able to watch it most of the time, and seeing those early round games was definitely fun. But the website itself was absolute unprofessional garbage.
